We started out feeding our ferrets Marshall's food, but it didn't seem too healthy for them. My exotic pet vet recommends ZuPreem, and I found a handy chart of ferret foods (by Maryland Ferret Protection and Welfare Society) that ranked ZuPreem 10/10 (for comparison, Marshall's Premium Food was rated 5/10).

My ferrets have never had any issues eating ZuPreem, and they seem to like it better than the Marshall's kind. They seem healthier since switching, too. We have definitely got brand loyalty for this product!!

Wasn't the worst but I wouldn't recommend it

Switched our fuzzies from Marshalls to this,and although the fish smell was gone, there was still a very awful smell to their litterbox. I find it extrememly expensive (I can get 8lbs of 8-1 for a LOT LESS!) and when I originaly bought it it took us a few days to get everyone to start eating it. They didn't chow down on it, and it was like repeating Marshalls Food for us all over again!

I'm not cheap when it comes to my fuzzies (I have four & love them to death) but this food was the first thing to go once we discovered 8-1. Every one loved it and ate it with no problems. We still use it to this day and I will never go back to Zupreem or Marshalls

Pros: no fish

Cons: ferrets didnt like it, still smelled as bad as marshalls

Great Stuff

The best stuff around that I can easily get my hands on.
There's better stuff out there but I cannot find it in a store so I guess thats that.

Our 3 ferrets love it.

Only problem is the big ole bags NEVER have coupons in them.
Though the small ones (clearance ones *hint* *hint*) all do.
$5 or $6 off a bag this expensive is well worth it.
Especially since I have 2 HUGE males and 1 lil femaile.

Pros: nutrition

Cons: cost, only small bags have coupons

Wonderful Food for Ferts

This is one of the only high quality foods out there with no fish product in it's ingredients. No fish means less stinky waste from your fuzzies - and a happier litterbox scooper. It is excellent nutrition, and my ferrets love the taste!

This product literally brought my ferret back from near death. We found out he had cancer-- he lost a ton of weight and weighed under a pound. He wouldn't eat, even after we began medicine for the cancer. We tried everything and this was the only thing he would touch- he gobbled it right up. He's put on weigh quite nicely- now both of my ferrets are very healthy. I'd never use any other food again.

I now have 4 Ferrets. Three of them are now on this food. I recently change the food to this food, and I must say it was wonderful.. All three are full of energy. I went to this food because the other fod I had my youngest on was causing him problems. I am glad to say that this food is the best for them. I will no longer search for a food for them. I have found the perfect one!!!

Of all the ferret foods that I have tried and researched, I believe this is by far the best food. It has the best ingredients for ferrets. My ferret will eat this food better than the other brands too.
