ill never go back to the old disposable filters i used to use. l love these, each sponge lasts forever! all you do when it is full of gunk, is take it out and rinse it in a bowl of aquarium water. then put it back. keep doing this over time until the sponge starts falling part. the box i bought comes with 3, so i dont think i have to buy more for a while.

my fish love this filter and their filter media.

Best Filter I've Ever Worked With

This is the best filter I've worked with. I have been able to keep my fish tank clean and my fish healthy and happy with this filtration system that includes using the activated carbon filter insert and the biomax filter insert. Until I found this filtration system I almost gave up on keeping a fish tank for my grandchildren and myself. NOW the PetSmart in our area is phasing out this miracle filtration system which is quite upsetting. Hopefully the online store will continue to carry this great product that is so easy to use.

Good foam filter

Quality material, had this filter for over a year and haven't need to replace the foam yet. I just clean it out every water change. Does a good job collecting debris and gunk. Rinsing out the foam also allows you to keep all the good bacteria needed to balance out the tank.

This part of the filter makes your filter pick up the dirt and gucky stuff from your fish tank. It's cheap and works great!

Lasts forever!

The foam filter catches that unwanted dirt and particles AND instead of replacing it every month you can rinse it and it'll last you a good 5 years. My science teacher still has the foam filter she bought when she got the filter 5 years ago. Very well built.
