I Tried, But Wasted My Money

At the recommendation of the staff, I bought this for my new Beardie. I should have suspected it would be a waste. I did the same thing with my Gecko (taking the recommendation to buy a jar of "special" food) but they just don't eat it. I followed the instructions, but he doesn't even go near it. I will keep trying on occasion, but I truly think you have a small chance of your Beardie actually eating it regularly. Too bad they don't have samples so you can see if your pet likes it before you buy the HUGE jar!! Was a waste for me.

My dragon loves these. I just soak them in water until they puff up. It might be a matter of the dragon's preference as to whether they like it or not, but mine was raised on this food by the people I got her from. The pellets smell like fruit when they're fresh. If you have a problem with the smell, they do tend to stink if you don't remove and throw away any left-overs after a day.

This is the only factory food my bearded dragon will eat. He eats crickets and mealworms, of course, but he won't touch any other pellets. When you moisten it with water (this is a must!) you and he will smell a fruit-juice scent and he comes running. Over this past year, sometimes he will pick out the red first, and sometimes green, but he will eat almost all of it every day. This is his primary food source and I supplement crickets and dried mealworms for treats. He is very healthy and happy.

Nutritional, but unappealing

This may be the most nutritional beardie food out there, but my beardie won't touch the stuff. I've tried soaking it in water, soaking it in fruit juice, hiding it in with his salad... not one bite. It has a pleasant fruity scent and a good combination of protien, fat, and vitamins, but what's the point if he won't eat it? I give my beardie crickets and chopped up greens and veggies instead.

Smell: If you buy them in a big bag, which I haven't been able to but got a whiff of them from the breeder, they smell like fruit loops but if you buy them in the containers PetSmart stocks, it's more like... dog food? It's not horrible, but I wouldn't recommend using this as perfume.
As for whether or not the pet eats them...
I have three bearded dragons, two babies and one juveniles. Normally, I mix the pellets with salad, calcium, herptivite, and spray them with water, but other times I only put in the pellets with a little bit of water. Both times, I have witnessed the dragons walk up to food bowl and eat the pellets one by one. Sometimes they have trouble getting to eat and after that, sometimes they walk away. The juvenile dragon makes a complete mess of his cage with the salad, but he runs through and sleeps in his food bowl... -_- but I've noticed that he eats whatever is left in the bowl.
As for the crickets eating this more than the dragons, I threw some in with Fluker's orange cube and they were dragging the pellets around nibbling around like their own personal buffet...
Bottom line is, bearded dragons may or may not eat it, but mine do, but crickets seem to favor this a lot more.

He investigated it, as he does maybe once a week, but otherwise, it's ignored. I offered this to provide some other minerals and vitamins that just crickets can't provide since he isn't accustomed to actual veggies and fruits yet, but sadly, this brand is definatley a waste of money.
I sprayed it with water so maybe he would get a whiff of it, and come scampering over to eat, that didn't work. Tried dusting it with a bit of calcium, which usually really excites him, it did nothing. I tried leaving it plain, and only the crickets would touch it.
I live in Canada, so the price is higher, and it does not perform. He doesn't touch it, it smells horrible, it's a pain in the butt to fish the crickets out of it because they are more interested in it then him, and he doesn't like going in the dish because of the food.
His WATER gets more attention than this stuff.
I would NOT recommend this to any beardie owner, unless you like wasting money, than go for it!
Cons: smell, price, Taste

This is the most nutritious Bearded Dragon food on the market. The breeders and vets i have talked to agree, this stuff is as good as it gets.

My blue tongue skink won't eat anything else. For a treat, I moisten with mango nectar instead of water.
The food doesn't smell bad and is easy to clean up.

My poor baby didn't approve of this one bit. I even tried moistening them and mixing as directed, but still wouldn't even glance.
