herptivite is a critical vitamin supplement for the healthy growth and maintenance of reptiles and amphibians!!!what else more is there to say then that? whether you have frogs, turtles, bearded dragons or leopard geckos it works the same. nevertheless each critter DOES need multivitamins in addition to calcium. its basically an essential, more likely a must have....
Pros: important
Cons: washes off easily in water soimetimes when fed to, water critters

Using Rep-Cal Calcium powder in combination with Herptivite is a superior option to an all-in-one powdered supplement.
Separating the two products allows Herptivite to have Beta Carotene instead of Vitamin A Acetate. Beta Carotene is converted to Vitamin A as needed in the body, so there is no risk of toxicity. All-in-one products cannot contain Beta Carotene because it does not keep when mixed with calcium. If you are using a product with Vitamin A Acetate every time you feed your pet, the danger of over-supplementation is high enough to be of concern.
Pros: superior quality and safety
Cons: more expensive than all-in-one powders
