My family has been treating sick goldfish with Mela fix for years, and each and every time we did, our fish would just snap out of it! Helps cuts and and even if your fish are just a little out of it, this product will help! We used it on our old goldfish Sam, who sometimes would get this horrible red rash, and he'd also be floating at the top of his bowl. Well, we put a little of Mela fix in his bowl... and he was well by the next morning!!! This is seriously a miracle in a bottle!

My pearlscale Goldie had a bacterial infection so I gave her this.it did absolutely nothing.she was very sluggish while I was treating her. It has a funny smell too. It turns out that mela fix does nothing on its own.

this is by far the best product i haved ever used... all three of my tiger oscars i dont know what is was but it was like their scales were coming off and you could see white spots i was terrified so i read up about it and some people recommended this product so i gave it a try it healed it and their scales grew back within days i was so happy that they are ok I DEFINITELY WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT this stuff is great!

Love this stuff! I bought this stuff because my one betta has fin rot, and I needed something stronger than aquarium salt. I was looking at some if the reviews online, and decided that this would work for the time being. I was planning on going out later and getting fin rot meds, but it's only been 3 days and his fin rot is almost cured! It says to treat the fish for 7 days, do a 25% water change, and then treat as needed for as long as needed. It couldn't be simpler to use. This works on everything, not just fin rot! Highly recommended!

This product treated my guppies' diseases very quickly.
Good product, but please, DO NOT SNIFF! lol, It smells like the dentists office, but worse. I still can't believe this smell is natural.

We moved our goldfish to a larger tank. We thought we prepared safely (and did everything right) but when we moved them in one of fish got finrot then a severe case of popeye in both eyes. We thought we would lose him. Then our other fish got sick. We added melafix (recommended) did partial water changes and added aquarium salt. We noticed improvement within a few days and full recovery within a week. It saved our fish!!!

I decided to try this product over the Mardel Maracyn-Two
because it is much cheaper and contains more doses per bottle plus it is much more natural. I noticed popeye on two larger Chiclids and bought this stuff to give it a try and had very good results. The popeye cleared in a few days. My carbon was over a week old already and I use a large canister pump and carbon is on the bottom and a pain to remove and open the pump so left it in. This stuff has an interesting smell to it that carries to the water as well. The smell is pleasant though and fades in a few days because treatments take a few days. Treating for 4 days now and fish are much improved and look normal again and eating as well. 25 % water change in another 2-3 days. Remember the trick to curing disease is to catch soon and treat it ASAP. Hospital tank shoould be used if possible to prevent infection spread and give the fish a break if its getting beat up by others. You should treat big tank also to kill the disease.

Great product! I definitely would recommend this to a friend. Our little goldfish Mango had a few white spots on a couple of his fins one day this week. Then I noticed the next day those areas were frayed. I did some research and I concluded it was tail and fin rot. I bought some Melafix at Petsmart the next day. The following evening after I began using it those fins looked as if they were already halfways healed. The next morning it was 3/4 healed, and that evening completely healed. Of course, I am continuing the entire 7 day treatment until its complete. He also seems to have perked up since beginning treatment. Very happy with how quickly you see results with this product. The only thing is the product smells like Vick's Vaporub to me. Because of that, I've nicknamed it Mela Vick's! :)

I have a fantail goldfish that I've taken care of for over a year. I recently transported him to a new 5-gallon tank with a pump. I noticed he had small whitehead-like lesions on his side, he was swimming erratically and his belly was swollen. All of these resulted from the stress of a new tank and swimming with a current after being raised in a standing bowl with no pump.
Anyways, I took him in and the PetsMart employee recommended Melafix. I used it right away and he is already looking better. The Melafix cleared a filmy substance that was accumulating on the top of the water and healed his lesions. The belly swelling went down and he swam normally.
I don't know what they put in it, but it works!!!

I have a redwag platty that had tail rot, ragged areas on her tail tried this for 7 days and nothing. I took it back and got maracyn- two please dont waste ur money get an antibiotic melafix and pimafix is just a remedy not a medication ....

Excellent product. Saved my fish's life. One day my Electric Yellow Cichlid wasn’t eating and sitting in one spot. Then later on she was swimming sideways and slamming into the walls and structures. I quickly ran to Pet Smart and bought MelaFix and PimaFix. Within about 6 hours she was showing big signs of improvement and within days she was eating and swimming normally. I don’t know if it was MelaFix or PimaFix but i would recommend these 2 for anyone with a sick fish. It sure saved mines life. The only complaint i have is that it smells strong and the bottle drips when you pour it, but these are only small inconveniences.
Pros: works fast
Cons: smells, bottle doesnt pour easily

I used it in my aquarium but when i opened the bottle the smell of it was really strong.When i poured some into my aquarium i could smell it a couple of feet away.But it worked really well.

My betta fish Marble had really bad tail splits. I was really shocked because the fish was doing fine before I went to sleep at night, and the next morning the tail was splited in half!
I used this product for one day and you can already see him recover. After two weeks Marble recoverd, and ummm...his tail is now longer, and still growing with this product!
P.S. (He blows lots and lots of bubbles now!!!)

I own Bala sharks which have a habit of jumping out of the tank & causing mild injury to themselves. The most recent time was the worst causing bubble eye, fogging of the eye, & cut it's body near it's top fin. It was pretty serious but after using this product as directed for just 4 days out of 7 the eye was 75% back to normal. Now after just 10 days the only noticable injury in next to the top fin with mild eye clouding. Without this product our fish would most likely have lost it's eye & maybe even died. I am very happy/satisfied with this product & will definately use it in the future.
Pros: fast acting, easy to use/measure
Cons: smells like menthol

I love Melenuca/tea tree oil- for burns , so when i saw a fish med that had melenuca i had to get it. I have a goldfish that had to bad places of tail rot, red and ragged areas on her tail tried this for days and days nothing. I took it back and got something else.

Night before last, my little betta girl split her tail down the middle, almost all the way to her body. From the time she split it to yesterday afternoon, there was no improvement. Last night I picked up this product and put a few drops in with her...at 8:00 this morning her tail was already healed halfway!! It is now 5:30 PM and it's 75% healed!!
I expected this product to work to some extent but I'm really blown away by how fast and effectively it works. It really does work overnight! A must have!
Smells nice, too :)

I bought these poor fish from a department store that shall remain nameless but is NOTORIOUS for their disgusting fish department. I was walking out to the garden department to buy some potting soil and saw these two poor Black Moors laying on their sides on the bottom of their tank gasping for air. I found an employee and got him to get them for me, but he tried to dissuade me from buying them. I finally insisted, and he said "Oh well, when they die, you can bring them back for a refund." I took them home. Both were covered with white cloudy slime and fuzzy fungus, and one's fins were torn and broken. Within a week both looked like the healthiest fish I have ever seen (aside from one crooked tail). They went from not eating (usually a sure sign that you are going to lose fish) to eating crushed Honey-Nut Cheerios from my hand. Melafix and Pimafix did the trick! Truthfully, I fully expected both of them to die, and was so surprised when the Melafix and Pimafix (I treated with both concurrently) worked so well. I have used them ever since on the goldfish, koi and cichlids with equal success. I love this stuff. And it does NOT turn the water color or make a nasty foam skim on the water.
Pros: natural and effective.
Cons: none.

This product is the best medicine for fin rot, fungus, and anything else related to those. My goldfish's fins were torn so I added some Melafix and in 2 days the fins were looking like new. My friend had a case of Fin Rot and in 6 days of Melafix treatment the fins were healthy. Definetly recommend.

My bala shark Napoleon had a bad case of septicemia and fin and tail rot. I'd tried some other medications for him and after about a week and a half, I gave up on those because they weren't working at all. Even though his symptoms weren't on the bottle of Melafix, I tried to give it a try because of all the positive reviews of it. After a few days, his septicemia cleared up and the color on his fins and tail has improved DRAMATICALLY. I will definitely buy this again and continue to use it in the future.
