I bought this due to as sale persons advice to replace the ramp style one that I had broken. My turtle HATES it. Refuses to get on it and jumps off it if placed on it. I live 80 miles from town and had to go pick up some big rocks and boil them to use until I can get back to town and buy one like I had. Total waste of money.
Pros: stylish
Cons: low quality

...but it's too flimsy for bulky turtles. I use it for amphibians like fire belly toads and newts. I've seen about 6 toads piled on without it sinking or tipping. It cracks easily though; think of a terra cotta pot.
Pros: stylish, easy to clean

We got this lilly pad for a basking area for our turtle pond. Unfortunately it will not support the weight of our 6 inch turtles, and was therefore, useless.

i bought this because i thought it was so cute and cheap its not worth it. my turtle is like about four inches so he slips right off of it and it keeps floating and sinking not to mention drifting away i got it today so it hasn't broken yet anyways now i have to go get a new landing pad >:( im sure it's better for baby turtles

It can not suport a turtal that is bigger the 4 inches and it is hard for my turtals to get on, but i keep in in so they can hide under it like the do in the wild. this may be better made for frogs.

I wasn't to sure about it at first but once i put it in my turtle's enclosure it didn't take too long before I found one of them on there. This works a lot better for the baby turtles, because my baby chicken turtle enjoys it (1 1/2 in) but one of my bigger turtles like my RES (3 in) can't stay on it without sinking it, so he sticks to the dock lol. I took of the bottom part and just let it float in the tank, and it even gives the tank a more natural look. Overall pretty good product!

I would deff by this again! My turtle loved this. I didn't use the docking part, I took that off and just let it float in the tank. I had to take it out because she got too big and would sink when she wanted to sit on it! I would deff. buy this item again!! Loved it!!

Landing Pad Pooped

This landing pad was GREAT when my turtles were the size of a 50 cent piece. Now that one is the size of my fist and the other the size of a saucer plate, the two landing pads aren't of much use. One pad chipped away from bumping into the wall of the tank to the point where the edges were sharp and I didn't think it was safe to keep it in the tank with my turtle. The other pad sinks under the weight of my turtle. Both landing pads are algae magnets and the algae is very difficult to remove. I'm going to opt for using a piece of plexiglass and some sealant to make a ledge for my turtles to rest on, rather than relying on something to float and sustain their weight.

I use this for my baby red eared sliders and it works great. They lay on it under the light when nobody is around but when you come into the room they dive into the water like they don't want to be seen. I've caught them laying on it almost every day. I'm sure when they get bigger this wont work too well though.

Waste of Money
September 20, 2006

This is the worst thing that you can buy for your turtles. I bought 2 of these one for each of my turtles and it was a waste of money. The anchor does not sink and the landing pad is very fragile and thin. The ramp is a lot better to use. Do not buy this item, Its a waste of time and money.

Junk...first one was broken in many pieces, second one sharp and thin and unfinished appearance. It does not float and the anchor thing ALSO floats. This went right into the trash after it broke. Turtle ramp is much better,,,,for one thing, it floats. Save your money

i bought this for my turtle and i thought hey its cute and cheap and he can bask. . i was wrong reason #1 its edges are sharp #2 it broke very easy just cracked apart #3 i put pmy finger on it and it sank to the bottom when i tried placing my turtle on it it completly sank and knocked him off into the water #4 the supposed "ankor" rock does ankor anything it floats around the tank doesnt stay in one spot overall bad choice the turtle dock is much much better granted its more money it supports the turtle and it easily suction cups to the edge my advice dont watse your money on this it may be cute but its not reliable at all.
