My cricket spike Just loves the taste! it takes a LONG time for it to dry up. Unlike those last few reviews. I change it about every DAY because she eats it so fast!

Prevents cricket loss and the jar itself lasts a long time, even if I have to refill the crickets' supply every other day. In an enclosed space it holds a steady 70% Relative Humidity.
Pros: high quality, price

This product is absolutely fantastic for crickets! I have over 1,000 for my animals and i don't have to worry about them drowning and dying or making sure they have water! They always go to it and use it, they love it! Very good product.

It is good for keeping crickets hydrated, and flukers seems like it is a good brand, but I have had a problem with this drying up quickly once it is in my cricket keeper. Besides the fact that it dries into little tiny orange pebbles quickly, I seem to like it. It lasts a LONG time in the container though. Good luck! :)

This product makes it easy to both hydrate crickets and to gut-load them with vitamins when feeding them to reptiles. The crickets get the water they need as they eat this, and they can't drown. This product is extremely easy to use, however it dries out quickly in the cricket's enclosure, so it may need to be refilled daily. I really like having this product around!
Pros: easy to use, gut-loads crickets, crickets won't drown

Review 6 for Fluker's Farms Calcium Fortified Cricket Quencher
The crickets seem to love this stuff. They spend quite a bit of time on it and it disappears quickly. Make sure to check it every day as it dries up quickly also.
We keep a lot of crickets at a time but this still lasts for a while.
It needs to be refrigerated once opened to prevent spoilage.

Crickets Make Great Pets

Hi, I have pet crickets because I love the sound they make at night and also because I think they're cute. I usually despise bugs, but crickets aren't at all scary. I started with 10 babies, about 6 months ago, and I still have 2 left, a male and a female. I've recently purchased a 10 gal. glass aquarium with a screen lid, and when I lose my last two, I'm going to get like 100 crickets for the big aquarium. Cricket Quencher is essential, since they can drown so easily in water. One bottle has lasted me all this time, and I'm sure I use way too much since I've never had more than 10 drinking it. They seem to drink only at dawn and again at dusk. I also use Fluker's Cricket Food and sometimes I give them a treat of watermelon, lettuce, apple or ground up cat food. The water gel dries up fast in the house with the fans and a/c on, so I need to give them fresh stuff daily. It shrinks, gets a dark orange color, and goes all dry, and they can't drink it that way. I have skipped my vacation this summer because no one will take care of my two crickets for me. My boyfriend calls them "bugs" and won't even look at them, much less care for them. He thinks I should let them go outside. I really don't like him very much for that attitude. All little animals are wonderful, and I really love and care about my crickets. I have a cat too, and I volunteer at the SPCA cat shelter to help out those poor cats. I highly recommend crickets as pets and I recommend Fluker's products. Buying the water and food may seem expensive, but remember it lasts a really long time. If you love that musical cricket sound, get some. They're very easy to care for and fun to watch. You can tell the males from the females too, the girls have a long tail, called an ovipositor, for laying eggs. I've researched and learned that I can make babies if I put a pan of dirt in the cage, might try that once I get the aquarium up and running. P.S. mine never ate each other. I just find the dead in the bottom of their glass bowl. (always a sad time) Keeping crickets is an ancient hobby and there are tons of articles on the web. It's fun and cheap. Good luck to all cricket raisers. Please don't use them as snake food! From Molly
