"this is the heat lamp i have for all of my reptiles. you can clamp it to anything, or not attach the clamp and set it on the tank. the only thing i don't like is that it's a little tricky to attach the clamp"

"I use the 5.5'' heat lamp for my turtle to bask under. He really likes it and stretches out his legs while under it. I have had the same lamp for two years and it still works great. Only bad thing is the clamp is a little hard to assemble."

"i use this for my red eared slider and he loves to bask under it. people say that the clamp isn't sturdy, i agreed, thats why i dont use the clamp, i took it off and i put the light fixture on a small mesh hood, that i cut a circle out of, so it shines the light perfectly on the 50 gallon tank."

"This a great prouduct for some animals, I use this for my hamsters when it gets to cold for them and I also can use it for chicks too. But for some animals it can get to hot for them! The clamp on it helps secure it!"

"I bought this light for my two red eared sliders, Brian and Sarah. They love it! And I do too! It provides them with enough light and they love to bask under it! It does not provide too much heat! The only thing I would change would be the clamp. I am always worried that it will slip off and fall and eletricute my turts. It hasn't happened yet, and hopefully it won't. Overall this product is great!!"

"This lamp provides my turtle with the perfect basking temperature. Great product for animals that enjoy basking. Assembling some parts is a bit difficult, but the quality of the performance is well worth it. And in my opinion, it's an extremely reasonable price for the quality you get from it."

"This is a very good product for the fact that it does what its supposed to do unlike some other products that I have run across. It has a lot of upsides. The only bad thing about this product is that it gets really really hot which is expected."

"This light works well if you don't use the clamp on it. The clamp doesn't hold the light where it's positioned. It moves all over the place and it's a little hard to assemble. But, if you don't use the clamp, the light works great."

"Ok so we bought these for my frogs and red ear slider but it goes out all the time so we are always having to replace the bulb.But it does its job even though it makes it to where i cann't close the tank so i have to leave a crack in it.-_-"
