"I bought a 16 gallon biorb and been having alot of trouble with it because i stocked it too fast.I have 8 small tropicals and 3 mystery snails in it.The ammonia levels went sky high,so i checked the web for some help.I have read alot about amquel and prime.I decided to use the amquel before i read about the prime. It seemed like it didn't work and i was very impatient,so i did some more research.I read alot of good things about prime and decided to try that. Now i have been using prime and stability for my biorb for about two or three days and my ammonia has now gone into the safe zone.My fish are more active and my ghost catfish doesn't hide anymore. It is absolutely wonderful.I hope they continue to make prime and stability forever. My tank is crystal clear and my fish have more color.I will use this product forever and it is very good for just starting a tank as well.I also used this for my start up on my 35 gallon hex."

Only water treatment you will ever need!, July 10, 2007
by glitterfish from Brooklyn, NY

"I keep fancy goldfish in 3 large aquariums and this is all I have ever used for water maintenance. Highly concentrated so you dont need to use too much(one capful per 50 gallons). Very stinky but worth it!"

Excellent water conditioner, all you'll ever need!, November 24, 2006
by icecubez189 from Queens, NY

"Many water conditioners claim to have ammonia removing properties (not true), or have additives like aloe vera and stress relieving chemicals, promote biological filtration, blah blah blah! You don't need half of that stuff! Seachem's Prime is your basic water conditioner for both fresh and salt water aquariums. It converts ammonia, nitrites and nitrates to a less toxic form so the bacteria/plants are still able to consume them so it doesn't mess up your biofilter. Removes chlorine, chloramines and other heavy metals in tap water. Promotes a natural and healthy slime coat on fish. Won't affect pH or overactive protein skimmers! Extremely concentrated, treats thousands and thousands of gallons with just a regular bottle. Because of this, its easy to overdose Prime (you have to estimate since the cap doesn't double an effective measuring cup) but there is no harm in this. All aquarists should use only Seachem's Prime!"

very good product overall other than the smell, November 19, 2006
by alexta6 from san diego

"this is a very good product. very concentrated. it's worth it even though it costs a little more than other water treatment. it's 5x concentrated than other product. u only need a capful for 50 gallons of water where other products need a capful for every 10 gallons. it keeps the ammonia down. the only down part is that this product smells pretty bad. u should use a dropper w/ scale for smaller tanks so u dont get it on ur hand or waste any extras. very good product"

Great Product!!!!! :o), September 9, 2006
by Annemarie from Vermont

"I've used this product ever since I got my latest aquarium. It really is great to regulate high ammonia levels and overall health of your aquarium. When my fish get sick (especially when I end up getting diseased fish at the pet store), I just use about 1 1/2 capfuls in my 30 gallon tank 3x a week (along with "quick cure" for ick) and the fish heal alot quicker. I found out this trick from a marine biologist that uses this product in his aquarium (he suggested the "quick cure" as well...), so I really appreciated his input because it really did make my life a whole lot easier!!! So....5 stars!!! :o)"
