Theses collars used to be top notch but the quality is not the same as years ago. I have had to replace several collars in the last 3 or 4 years. They either fall apart(where top and bottom half are seemed) or just stop working. They seem to break just outside of the warranty period and with 4 dogs this gets costly. This is not only a hit financially, but a safety issue for the dog and a huge inconvenience all around. I need a reliable product that lasts.

We love the in-ground fence for our 2 75pound dogs but I agree with 2 of the reviews I read. First we need to be able to buy replacement collars in the store and also the clasp needs to be sturdier, my older dog is able to release the clasp off the younger one. This has become a problem with her getting away. Also bright orange would be nice so we can find it in the yard easier when it happens again.

This is not a good collar

This particular collar only has one level of static correction and it is not very good. If you have a really hyper or active dog, this collar will not do what you need it to do. Make sure you purchase the deluxe version with 4+ levels of correction. Otherwise, you are wasting your money. With my old transmitter, this collar could make me jump 10 feet. With the new transmitter I bought last month, you get about as much shock as you would licking a 9 volt battery.

I love this product, works great! It only took my chocolate lab about 1 week to get used to this system. Best money I have spent for keeping her in the yard....she hates being tied up and she is way too curious for her own good. I was hesitant because I was worried that it would hurt her, but I tried it on my hand (hey, I wanted to make sure that it really was safe) and it is more of a surprise than any thing else. Sometimes I forget to put her collar on and she still stays in our yard.

This invisible fence is great. We have 2 dogs, each weigh about 60 lbs, and have no problems with them leaving the yard. One of the collars is broken right now, and I'm upset to see I can't buy an extra collar in the store, and it takes 3-4 weeks to leave the warehouse! I wish they had better delivery of this product, or let the store sell them!

I have been using the ultra light collar on my yorkie for over six months and have just changed the battery for the first time. Its a great collar, but the plastic clip that holds the colar together has broken. Iit needs to be sturdier. Mine has already broken. Other than that its a great product.
