Great little seat, March 20, 2009
by Canadianwoman from Alberta Canada

"This seat is great for people like me that take their dogs everywhere they go. BUT the clasp really shouldn't be made from plastic and it should be made so the seat belt can also be used to make the seat stay still just incase.

Though I recommend this seat for cars/trucks, I REALLY think you should think twice before using it on your motorcycle. There is NO protection for your pet if you drop your bike! A motorcycle carrier is a MUST in that case, they have solid sides and can do up to protect your pet from anything such as rocks. I also recommend a dog helmet when a dog is on your bike. My yorkie has the car booster seat, motorcyle carrier, helmet and doggles. You have protection just incase, shouldn't your pet!"

Best Thing I have bought all year, September 16, 2007
by CaliforniaGirl from California

"I have two dogs, one is a 11 month old Rat Terrior who before getting this wonderful booster seat would cry, whine and try to get into my lap while driving. She loves to go bye-bye but thought she needed to be in my lap. That not being the safest idea I bought this seat. No more whinning, or trying to get my lap. She is able to see out the windows and there is enough room for her to lay down. I purchasted the medium elevated version. I will tell all my friends who own smaller dogs to get this product. one thing I will say against it is I think the buckle should have been made of metal not plastic and use a harness to attach your dog to the seat."

I love It Roscoe Loves It, September 4, 2007
by luvie021503 from Lufkin, Tx

"I bought this for my 9 month old Maltese, because he goes everywhere I go. I love it because used too I would have to pull my passenger seat in my S-10 Frontier all the way up to the dash so Roscoe to stand and look out while we was going, or he would set on the console in between the seats. One day last week I slammed on my brakes and flew in the dash. The only thing I don't like is it said it fits most backseats but not those little S-10seats in the back, but I just attach it to the back of my passenger seat and it works great. When Roscoe gets in now he gets staright in his seat."

seat sag, August 8, 2007
by Olivia2 from Charlottesville, Virginia

"I bought this seat for my two tiny Yorkies and even thought they are able to lie down in it, it is a tight squeeze. But the issue I have with it is that I can't get the seat to not tilt backwards. So I got another seat that has the cushion air pillow bottom and it is doing the same thing. I use a coupler to hook both dogs to the safety strap."

Best Coupon money ever used, August 8, 2007
by Gizzy from Gastonia NC

"I bought the car seat with the Birthday Coupon my Chinese Crested "GIZMO" had received from PetSmart. It is the best thing we own for this dog. I attach it to the headrest of my front seat in the truck, pull it up high so he actually sits at window height! He can see everyone and everything, and they can see him. I attach the strap to his harness and he is safe, I am safe (no jumping around on my lap or at my feet), and he loves the view. When tired, the strap gives him enough room to lie down. I really do recommend this to anyone that takes their small dogs in the car, I really do hate seeing dogs in the laps of drivers, this is much much to dangerous."

Car Booster Seat, July 24, 2007

"This seat is wonderful! Your pet is secure and I feel it protects them in the event of anything that might happen and it protects the driver. I feel everyone should have one if they have their pet in the car."

Motorcycle, July 19, 2007
by HarleyBabe from Ut

"I checked out several things for my dog to be able to ride on my bike with me. They were all extremely expensive and I would have had to alter my motorcycle for them. I was in petsmart one day and wondered if it would work. My mini schnauzer loves his seat and love my bike. Now I just need to get him some doggles and a harley hat and we are set."

Traveling with Belle, July 15, 2007
by DCPBelle from NH

"We love this seat. I do recommend a harness with it though. Our Belle (Maltese) loves her car seat. She really enjoys being able to see everything that is going on around her. She also loves to sleep in it on long drives.
Great seat, but need to use a harness.
Also a great price compared to other stores!"

Not good for a dachshund, June 19, 2007
by LizC from Birmingham, Alabama

"This seat is not working at all for my miniature dachshund (about 16 pounds). It is not large enough to allow him to lie down, and his body is too long for him to sit in the seat comfortably. He has tried to sit in the seat and put his paws up on the front edge of the seat, but that didn't work - the seat is not very sturdy, and the front "wall" just bent and collapsed. Also, just hooking the dog's seat around the seat back of the car does not seem very safe to me - I am going to buy another product that attaches to the seat belt and gives my dog room to sit and lie down."

Outward bound Cody, June 14, 2007
by WestieLover from Reno, Nevada

"I purchased the first booster seat for my SUV when Cody was 11 weeks old. At first he wasn't crazy about being restrained, but he soon got used to it and loves it when I say, "Wanna go for a ride?" I too believe it's much better and safer to have a harness on your pup when using this seat. Cody's now 6 months old. Once the weather turned nice, I purchased a second one for my convertible. He's in 7th heaven now and gets so many "thumbs up" while riding in his T-bird with the top down."

Wow what a difference!, May 26, 2007
by HappyCody from Philadelphia,Pa

"Wow i would recommend this product to friends and family. I have a Maltese named Cody. He's 6 months. Once in a while i go for long drives. 1/2 hr to 45 mins. My dog hates car rides. He's always nervous when i put him in the car. He shakes the whole ride and sometimes jumps in my lap when i'm at a stop. Plus i have leather interior. He always slide when i turn corners. I finally found the perfect product for him. The direction was easy to read and use. It fit perfect in my 2004 Acura RSX. He loves it. He's not nervous no more. Now he can see out the passenger window and watch whats goes on.But i do recommend using a Harness when traveling with this product. If you dont have one buy it NOW. But remember all dogs have there own behavior may not work for your dog but it did for me."

Didn't Make It Past Second Trip, April 2, 2007
by SilkyTerrierLover from West Tennessee

"I was very excited to find this item at the store and purchase it. My little Silky Terrier loves to ride, but didn't have a seat to keep him safe. Before getting a half a mile from my house I heard a snap! The plastic clip that attaches to the collar or harness had broken. I immediately drove back to my house and frantically searched for the broken piece, hoping that he had not swallowed it. Luckily I found the broken piece and he was fine. I have only had the seat for a little over a week. I am going to return this item and look for a better seat."

Excellent product, March 10, 2007
by dhorn329 from Birmingham, Alabama

"My maltese, Simon, loves this carseat. He gets carsick and it really helps him to be able to see out the window. Also, if he does throw up, it is easy to clean and also to put newspaper on the seat to protect the fabric. It is also easy to remove and throw in the back seat when he is not in the car."

LifeSaver, November 26, 2006
by JoffiePomMom from Mid Atlantic

"This car seat is a LIFESAVER! We compared this one to more expensive seats, and this one (by far) was THE BEST!

It's economically priced - great for quick trips to PetsMart (!) and the vets. It's extremely portable - it practically folds up - we just toss it in the trunk of the car when not in use! It's lightweight, and is super easy to clean up.

A MUST HAVE for any small dog owner. Our little one has loved traveling in this since we got her at 8 weeks - she's now 8 months and loves traveling in this seat. She curls up in a ball & goes to sleep everytime - she feels much more secure than when she's being held. And it's MUCH more safe than just letting her stay on one of the seats of the car.

Definitely well worth the money for your peace of mind and your little one's protection."

Annie Loves The View, November 24, 2006
by EileenK from Sunny Isles Beach, Fl

"Annie just loves the car seat and since she is higher up she can see out the window. The fact that she is safer than lose or in my arms is great and the seat also came in grey which matched the inside of the car so it looks terrific. Everyone passing by smiles when they see her and she adores the attention. This is a must for those that take their pets with them for short or long trips."

"My Yorkie, Chase, loves this. Every time we went somewhere in the car I would have to hold him up so he could see out the window, otherwise he would wine the WHOLE time! Now he looks out the window as he pleases, and I can concentrate on the road!"

My Toy Fox absolutely LOVES her Car Booster Seat!!, November 22, 2006
by Rosey092 from Hamburg, NY

"Can't say enough great stuff about the booster seat by Outward Hound..... I raised it up with the straps so she could see out the windows... And from then on she became my co-pilot... (no more jumping around while I drive)
There are pockets for toys and different treats. And there is a strap with-in the seat with a clasp so you can hook them inside to be safe and not jump out...
I would recomend using a harness instead of a collar for your dog because it will keep them safer in the seat.
Feel secure in purchasing this booster seat in that Petsmart will always give you quality for your money.

Thanks Petsmart, Rosey092"

Fun car rides for little dogs, November 13, 2006
by Buddyspal from Toronto, On

"This is my favourite product (and my dog Buddy's). The easiest way to transport your dog, without having to mess about with crates. The only downfall is that it can't be put into the front if your car has air bags, so it took a little while to find a way to put it in the back. Worth the effort though. All the outward hound products I've tried are practical and stylish."

Must have for small dogs!, November 13, 2006
by Joeythegirl from Chandler, AZ

"We bought this for our 2 year old Pomeranian Mazzy because we travel often between Utah and Arizona and don't always want to have Mazzy on our laps, plus we were worried about her safety. It took her about 45 minutes of crying to get used to knowing this was her seat now and she wasn't going to be riding in our laps anymore. She loves being able to look out the window! When we are all traveling together it is in the back seat, however I have moved it to the front seat when it's just the two of us and she loves that so much more!

We are planning another trip to Utah next week to pick up another Pomeranian puppy and plan on purchasing another car seat for her when she gets a little older. For now she will be traveling in a pop up kennel on the seat next to Mazzy.

I HIGHLY recommend this product for anyone with small dogs. The only draw back is the "cushion" is not a cushion it's just the plastic bottom of the carrier, it is stabilized but I would definitely not call that a cushion. We have squished Mazzy's bed in the carrier to make it more comfortable, but plan on purchasing some foam that I will cover with material to replace her bed so she has ample room to lay down in.

Since seeing mine, my mother also has plans to purchase this booster seat for her Pomeranian."
