I bought the 24" crate for my 4.75 yorkie and I have no regrets. My dog has plenty of room to turn around and stretch out, but it is still compact enough for him to feel comfortable and know it's not a place to go potty while he's in there. My dog goes in their with no problem and knows that it's a place he can call his own and be safe which makes me feel good too. This crate is heavy enough to be a long term crate and then be light enough to travel with. I heard some people say that the tray comes out the front and that just means they didn't see the handle on the front that you snap around the wire and the tray will stay in place. Anyway bottom line, great product, will buy when we get another dog,(I hope). Buy it!

Great Crate & Great Value

I got the intermediate size for my lab- it was fairly easy to put together, and he loved it- then he grew, and grew, and grew... i knew he needed a little more elbow room. I originally got a large crate from another local store while was out shopping for other things- but it was so flimsy, and had this embossed lettering on the plastic flooring, which caught his eye every time & he had to dig at it- was too annoying for both of us! so i went back to my tried & true crate from petsmart- and he loves the bigger sized one, also- the price was even just a smidge better. hes an energetic puppy, but loves his space in the crate for sleep. would definitely recommend it. thanks so much!

I have a very hyper 2-year-old beagle and this crate is simply no match for him. He can open the latches on the doors within seconds and leave at his leisure. So I would push the crate into a corner where the doors were both up against walls, and he still opens the door, then pushes the crate away and walks away leisurely in 10 seconds flat. So then I put bungee cords around the crate so the doors don't open very easily. This takes him several minutes but he still escapes. So then I put padlocks on the doors, and he rams himself into the sides of the crate over and over until the whole thing just pops open and he escapes through wherever the crate popped apart. I tell this story to people at Petsmart and they simply can't believe it. This dog is the reincarnation of Houdini. I'm thinking of having a special steel crate constructed by a local construction company.

The cage is not something any dog should be kept in long term, but it was great to have it for the times we had to leave the dog home alone before his house training was accomplished.

Bought this as a training crate when my dog was a puppy. It sits with the door open and my dog still goes in there and lays in it every once in a while so she must like it :)
Was easy to put together and collapses easily as well. Took it on a trip once so that I could keep my dog in a comfortable, safe place in my hotel room and the fact that it collapses so easily made it very easy to put it in a suitcase while traveling it to our destination.

My dog has busted through so many crates that its not even funny. So we went to the store AGAIN to buy another crate for her to stay in. We ended up buying a midwest crate and till this day she has not busted through it. Highly satisfied!

Durable, easy to clean. Convenient collapse fold and removable/adjustable divider to adjust space for a growing puppy! Definitely would buy another one in the future and recommend to anyone.

I purchased this item to crate my new husky puppy. At first the crate held the pup and we used the included divider while he was small. Now, he is 6 months old and 38 lbs, not a huge hefty pup, and the crate cannot hold him. All clips are snapped in place and we leave the puppy in the crate with both locks, locked. We double check it before leaving by pulling on the door and it is most certainly locked but, when we come home a few hours later, the doggie has escaped the confines of this crate. The bottom lock last time was still engaged and the crate was fully intact right where we left it but the puppy wasnt. He had destroyed the contents of my open purse in our bedroom.
I have heard that huskys can be escape artists but this? I could never have imagined this.
not sure what to do......

Really Good For Crate Training

These open styled crates are really good for crate training puppies as they tend to be happier when they can see you. It is good to start off with one of these style crates and then move on to a closed in style one. The closed style one is good for making the dog feel safe. I really do recomend this kind of crate if your dog has problems with wanting to see all around it, and if your dog is whining in its crate, try this kind.

I have a 4 month old Rottweiler named CHOPPER and the name really fits him. When we first got him we had a small cage and he grew out of the cage over night. I looked everywhere for a big cage that wasn't an arm and a leg and when I seen this one I ordered and just hoped that is was strong enough for him and easy to put together. When I got the cage it was a very strong cage and my eleven year old daughter put it together while I took a nap. Great thing to wake up to job well done to my little one and Petsmart because Chopper has not chopped on anything else since we got the cage. I would give this product 6 stars if I could.

Wonderful product at a great price. Very sturdy and durable, yet easy to move around if needed. The divider panel is perfect for the puppy stages. It really helped my puppy to feel more secure and confident while crate training.

We have had this crate for three years for our yellow lab. It sets up fast, it folds easily and yes, we take it two or three times a year to grandma's. We read the reviews on the tray/pan cracking. To avoid this, we cut a board to fit and slide it under the pan above the wire floor. The pan is just as secure and has more support than just those wires. It is more to travel with, but worth it. For those folks who say this is a flimsy crate, that is a dog in panic issue, not a crate issue.

I will be moving 800 miles soon and was concerned how I would move 6 cats. I ordered one of these crates to see the size of the medium and check it with my backseat size. The medium is perfect to fit a kitten size litterbox, small crate bowl http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=10847442&locale=en_US&green=7F10BD02-20A4-522C-B5D9-1858C445FEE4 and medium water bottle http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2754644 on the crate. I can fit two cats in each comfortably. Thanks for a quality product at a great price.

I bought it about a month ago for training purposes, and it has been great. I have 3 small mini pinschers, and they are very wild! Each one has their own crate, and the second I open the door they get in. They stay quiet in there, don't destroy anything and although a lot of people complain about the plastic pan, I find it hard for a dog to destroy it... My dogs used to destroy carpets, whatever was underneath the carpet (wood, nails, etc), couch and much more. I tried all kinds of training with them, and the crate training has been the most successful one.
I hope my review is useful for those who have small dogs too -- I ended up buying the Giant Crate (48") so each one of them would have much space in there to move around when we are not home.
