I bought this ramp for my ageing golden retriever when I moved from a car to an SUV. It works wonderfully! It easily rests on the side of the door so she can get in and out without any tough jumps on her legs or hips. It also folds easily to sit flat on the floor in the back of the SUV. She loves it and so do I!

This is a great product and easy to use. Just unfold and go. Nothing to put together. It is made of a sturdy, hard molded plastic that is easy to clean. It weighs about 18 pounds and is a bit awkward, but it is for a large dog. Now I can take my large golden retriever on car rides. Before the PetStep ramp he only went to the groomers or veterinarian. He loves to go for car rides and is enjoying it.
I purchases the PetStamp Pet Ramp several weeks ago in hopes that it would help me and my husband out on our planned 2 week camping vacation with our 2 basset hounds. They both weight about 50lbs and because of the short step base and angle of the steps on our camper, their long bodies just cannot get up and down the steps and we have been faced with literally lifting them up and down every time they need in or out of the camper! This gets old very fast, not to mention, is very hard on the back. So, I purchase the petstep ramp and worked with the bassets several weeks in advance to get accustomed to the ramp. first, I put it in the doorway between the kitchen and the living room so that they would have to walk over it to get to the kitchen to eat or go outside. after they got used to it and very readily would walk across it, I moved it out on the front porch step which had just one step down to the ground. It was now angled and every time I took them in and out the front for their walks I would lead them up and down the ramp. They became pros very quickly and lost any reservation about the ramp. They also understood that it was their way of leading up and down from the porch. We knew that when we went camping that the ramp was going to work great. And, indeed it did!!!! It was amazing. have two sets of doors to the camper so we just set it up to stay on one set and left it there so that this would be their door and we wouldnt have to take it up and down each time. Although, it folds easily and really wouldnt have been that much trouble. They did awesome. because of the height, we always let them up and down with their leash just to be safe, but really they didnt need it. they could and would go up and down without any problems. The PetStep Pet Ramp literally was a Godsend. It worked awesome and saved our backs. We LOVE it and now will NEVER go without it. Great product!!! We also had quite a bit of rain when on vacation and the durability of the product being made out of some sort of hard plastic-type material with ridges, held up beautifully in the rain and the dogs never had a problem with slipping or keeping their traction. I HIGHLY recommend this product!

With an older Akita that's had both knees operated on, I only wish that I had purchased this sooner. Makes getting in and out of my Buick Enclave so easy and she took to it right away.

My two large dogs prefer not to walk on ramps, but they took to this very quickly. I appreciate this product because it is easy to use and it's a great way to get my pets in and out of an SUV. I highly recommend the Pet Step.

I don't typically submit reviews, especially unsolicited ones. But this is an exception. I have an 11 year old Golden who can't jump anymore. We bought an SUV and contemplated returning it when we realized we couldn't take our dog with us everywhere. We tried the both the pet ramp and steps from another pet store. The ramp felt like sandpaper and didn't have a sturdy grip at the top to hold it in place. The steps also slid around and weren't tall enough to reach the floor on the vehicle. I finally ordered this one -- a bit more expensive -- and it only took one bone to coax her in. Success! The rubber-grip coating is perfect. The length is enough to make the ramp not too steep, even for backs of higher SUVs. The only downside I would say is that the ramp is a tiny bit heavier than the other one we tried. But I believe that's because it's sturdier and made of heavier plastic (resin). I'm a slight-built 40yr old woman and don't have any problem handling it. All in all, I think this may be the only one that works and it was well worth the money.

The best quality is the rubber surface, it was very easy for my dog to walk on. I tried the Solvit that a friend loaned me and my dog would not walk on it because of the sandpaper surface. It is solid and durable but heavier than i thought it would be.
Pros: quality surface, durable sturdy
Cons: bulky, heavy

I read the earlier reviews which directly influenced my choice to buy this ramp and I couldn't be happier with it! It is sturdy enough to support my 110+ lb. dogs and the surface on the ramp helps them to maintain traction. I am going to purchase the case for it too. I don't think anyone will be disappointed in this product!

I did alot of research on the net on ramps, also read others reviews on different ramps. I decide to go to pets mart store to see this ramp. It was not in stock. The one in stock was removed from box for me to view. It was made of a cheaper plastic and the ramp had a hard surface like sand paper. Some of the reviews said they had a hard time getting there dog to go up the ones with rough surface. I decided to come home and order this one on line. It was not that much more then the one in the store. It is made out of a much harder and better plastic and the grips on the ramp are great for the dog to walk on. The grips feel like rubber. I have a 11 yr old mix weighing 75 lbs. He did not want to go up it at 1st, but once he figured out that it was eaisier on his legs he was fine with it. Used it on my trip to the vet. I have two younger dogs and this will be great when they become older. Try this one 1st you can always return to Pets Mart, but I feel you wont.

We tried a few different ramps before we found this one, which is by far the best. The thing I hated most about the 2 other ramps we tried is that they were made cheaply and basically were just too awkward to use or started falling apart after only a short time. Both of them also had really rough (and potentially painful!) sand paper on the top surface. My husband got mad because I accidentally bumped up against the SUV and scratched the paint. This one is pretty rugged, and best of all has a very different surface treatment made of rubbery ridges. My 10 yo lab loves not having to jump out of the Jeep. She used to just sit there and wait for us to help her down.

I am so pleased with this ramp. Our dog went right up the ramp into our truck first try. It is easy to set up and put away. Finally, our dog is able to go for rides again!

I bought this ramp for my 90 pound English Mastiff puppy. She's only 7 months old right now but I knew I had to find a better way to get her in and out of my SUV. She walked right up into the back of my truck and right out without any problem at all. No more worrying about her possibly hurting herself (or me) anymore. If you have a large dog you really need one of these. The cost of the ramp is well worth your piece of mind. Why risk an injury when you can do something as simple as getting this ramp!

When our Old English Mastiff puppy reached 50 lbs we knew we had to have a different way to load him in the car. Lifting him in and out each time wasn't going to work much longer. We trained him on the ground as suggested and he loaded in the car the very first time. He is now 120 lbs (at 7 mos.) and enjoys going anywhere with us because he can still get in the car, now, by himself. Since it is recommended to be cautious with the giant breed's joints until they are completely grown, the ramp is a real treasure, enjoyed by both the big puppy and his owners.

We have two dogs that travel with us. They needed an easy way into the back seat of a truck and into a truck camper. The terrior mix was right on target with the ramp. It took the Lab a little time to become comfortable with it, but now he will run out the door and into the truck or camper with ease. I will say that the first few times using it he did have trouble staying on it as he moved to the top, so I would suggest when learning to use this ramp be prepared to not let them fall over the side. We could not live without it!
