This item does not fit door frames as claimed, and it is very cheaply made. My cat loved it and was having a blast jumping and attacking it as long as it lasted, but the bird came off the string less than two minutes after I hung it, so he carried and batted it around the house for awhile. Some of the feathers also came off very quickly.

I had hoped this would replace a previous door hanger toy that had lasted over a year, but I will clearly have to look elsewhere.

I would give it one star for durability and five stars for entertainment value, but being able to choose only one rating forced the two-star rating, because durability is really important in a toy like this.

My recommendation: just buy a catnip mouse--your cat will be just as happy!

My cat loved this toy. It must be her all time favorite toy. After she had literally destroyed it, dunked in her water bowl, buried it in litter box well, I was forced to throw the nasty thing away. Lyra didn't like that. She dug it out of the trash twice! Even ripped through a garbage bag to get to it! She has never developed this kind of bond to any other toy... I am ordering a second one now.

I have had this toy for about a month and a half and my cat absolutely loves it. She is about 7 years old and used to be an outside cat but now lives indoors. She was pretty lazy and wasn't into toys but for some reason this toy has her fascinated. I highly recommend it.

I have a lot of cats and they all loved it but one. She has a thing about elastic and would chew the string until the toy broke off. Shame on her. I would tie the toy back on again and again. The elastic makes it stretch really far and when they let it go they go nuts trying to catch it. This hangs over the doorway trim and not the door itself so I can put it basically anywhere. It is much more fun than the door design because the door doesn't get in the way. I am buying several as this toy is not easy to find.

Pros: hangs over most doorways, replace toys with other brands, can replace elastic, never had it fall off doorway

Though my cats usually are able to tear the toy away from the bungy cord after just a day of play, they looooove this toy. It drives them crazy when they think they have caught it but then it just bounces right back.
