This is the greatest bedding for hamsters. It is more absorbent, not dusty, and soft unlike aspen. My Ruby loved tunneling through this and even made her big nest out of only this when she had babies!!! Carefresh is great at staving urine odor so I did not have to worry about it getting nasty with 14 babies!

I've been using this for my hamsters for years. This product is good at keeping odor control and is very safe for them compared to other brands of litters. I would not recommend anything with shavings or scented aromas in the cage litter. This is used in pet stores and is widely recommended because it is a healthy choice. Easy to clean with, very little dust when putting in cage, keeps animals warm and they love it.

K so for what a bedding is suposed to do, it works. Meaning that my hamsters cage does not smell that bad actually. Yet when you dump it out to clean the cage it just goes POOF! I have allergies so the dust provokes that. I havent found one that dosent do this though so maybe thats just how bedding is. :)

I used to use the Ultra Carefresh (white bedding) & I was hesitant on using this bedding because I like my hamsters' cages to look "pretty" and I don't really like brown. However, I've found the brown bedding makes all the colors pop. It works better than any other bedding I use. No smell, no dust, no obvious droppings, and it isn't expensive! I own four dwarfs & I change all of their bedding each week. I buy the largest size & it lasts me almost three months. Great bedding!

Such a great product! I highly recommend it. I have two hamsters I use it with, and it keeps the smell away for at least two weeks. It's nice and warm as opposed to the wood shavings, my hamsters LOVE burrowing in it! It also doesn't have the bleach and dyes that colored bedding has and doesn't run the risk of giving your small pet a respiratory infection.

i used this for all of my small animals, and it was odorless, and easy to clean out. the only problem i had was when my gerbils kicked the extra bedding over the edge of the cage bottom, but that was because the sides were so low. i'd use this product for any cage that has a good bottom

I normally use aspen bedding for my two guinea pigs, but I decided to try something different for once. I thoroughly cleaned out my piggies cage and put the Carefresh bedding in. Lo and behold, about 3 days later the cage began to smell absolutely terrible! My piggies did like the Carefresh but I'm going to stick to aspen.

Cons: Doesn't Eliminate Odor, Hard to Sift

I have dozens of mice, a few intact male sugar gliders, and in intact male rabbit, and I love this bedding! It does it's job well and for a long time. I wish I could get my cats to use it in their litter box.

Just bought a Guinea Pig from PetSmart and this bedding came with the deluxe cage starter kit we purchased. Some people say that Guinea Pigs are messy and smelly, this product has made it so easy to maintain and NO SMELL :)
