Small-pet-wise, I have four rats, a long haired Syrian hamster, and a dutch/mini-rex rabbit. For my rats, this product is fantastic! It smells nice and natural, it's easy to clean up, and my rats love to play in it. For both my rabbit and my hamster, even though my rabbit technically has short hair, it gets stuck all in their hair. They constantly try to groom themselves to get the little beads off themselves, but it's never ending! I hate that it doesn't work for them, and I'm going to try Kaytee's other lavender scented bedding because I love the scent and this product so much.

I bought this product for my guinea pigs. I used Care fresh and decided to try this. I have 3 female guinea pigs and they absolutely smell! They use the potty a lot so I used this in their cage. It smelled great! I didn't smell them and it lasted until I changed their cage! I recommend this to everyone! The guinea pigs loved it too. They love the softness of it. Totally worth it. 5 Stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was hesitant to ever use this stuff but my rats i adopted came with it so I figured I would use it until it was gone and get some different stuff. I love this stuff though even my husband who cannot stand rat smells doesnt mind the rats because they dont smell and it is so easy to clean up if you get a mess somewhere all you do is bring out the vaccuum. I love it you can even use a vaccuum on the wet litter and not have a problem This stuff is awesome to use i will def be ordering some more of it

Best bedding in the UNIVERSE!!!!!!!!! When I first got my guinea pig, I was sad that I had to kiss my vanilla-scented room goodbye. Now, I have the most intriguing fragranced room!!! It smells like I sprayed perfume everywhere!!!!! Absolutely ADORE the scent, and it has a low dust level, and real dried flowers that Molly, my guinea pig, LOVES to eat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Clean, fragrant, rats love it!

I have five rats and they ALL love this bedding. There are actually little lavender petals in the bedding and they love to roll around in the stuff. Ever since I tried this bedding I have never used anything else. The only complaint that I have is that if your rodents or small animals aren't litter trained to use the bathroom in one specific area, the droppings may be hard to find. I'd definitely recommend purchasing a sifter to clean your pets' cages. Overall, this is the best product for your animals.

I love this bedding so much! Not only does it scent my room with a lovely spa scent, but it gets rid of the smell so much, I almost forget to clean out the cages! It also has dried flowers in it, which my 2 hamsters and guinea pig love to eat!

this product is great its absorbant, but its messy, and it starts to smell after 3 or 4 days of cleaning it! and thats wt only one hamster and does create dust if the cage isnt cleaned for at least a week

This bedding is wonderful. It is soft and absorbs and keeps the smell down. It could be a little softer but if you give them some fluff they will be set. I was worried about the scent being to strong but it turn out to be the perfect amount and just give a hint of lavender.

I purchased a litter training kit for my rabbit and it came with a sample of this bedding. I put it in the litter box and a couple of days later I noticed that my rabbit was eating it. I immediately removed the bedding but my rabbit passed away a few days later from an intestinal blockage. If you use this bedding make sure you watch your pet closely to make sure they are not eating it.

I bought this product to use for my ferret and it is great! He loves it and it smells amazing. I also love how absorbant it is and how easy it is to spot clean everyday. I love how with this I can just scoop up the bad and the fresh bedding stays in making it last longer, unlike wood chips where when you spot clean you get alot of fresh chips out along with the bad. Over all I love this product even though with a wire cage it can get thrown out, but I dont mind picking up after my baby(after all if you get a little guy/girl, thats part of the job). The only problem I have which is why I gave it four stars instead of five is the price. Its a GREAT product but a little on the expensive side when buying for a large cage.

I used this when my rabbits had inddor cages. It got all over the place at night when they played. When I'd pick them up for a cuddle, the little pieces got everywhere! Also, the scent was too strong. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who likes a clean house.

Nice product, but if you have wire cages, I would recommend a larger bedding particle gauge similar to the Carefresh brand. The Hamsters & Gerbils I have kick it out of the wire critter trail type habitats (even with the plastic bottom). But for a fully plastic or aquarium/glass type housing, this works fine. Nice pleasant scent, critters love to dig through it.

Pros: nice scent odor control fun for critters

Cons: creates collateral mess outside wire habitats

It may seem a little bit pricey, but as far as I'm concerned Soft Sorbent Lavender is so worth it. I have two rats and one syrian hamster (seperate cages, of course) and use this for both cages. The fragrance is very natural, and VERY mild (which is better for small animal respiratory systems), and the bedding is fantastic at controlling odor. I've tried CareFresh all varieties, Aspen, Sunseed, Yesterday's News, and this stuff is the best and all that I ever use now. I HIGHLY recommend it! The only downside is that because the pieces are so small, the bedding is easily pushed out of wire cages, but this is nothing a vacuum cleaner can't solve. It's well worth it for the amount of odor control it gives.

Pros: fantastic odor control, mild fragrance, natural

Cons: expensive, pushed out of wire cages

My Rats Love This Bedding!

My rat cages are in my bedroom, so any smelly bedding is simply out of the question. I tried every kind of bedding available, but could smell rat droppings within 36 hrs of applying fresh bedding. Out of desperation, I tried this product which seemed very expensive and a bit silly at the outset. Talk about spoiled rats, right?

Wrong! This bedding lasts for a full week without a hint of ratty scent, which makes it far more economical than one might expect. Also, the lavender scent is real and non-toxic, not fakey chemical scent. As long as your animal is in a cage rather than an enclosed tank, it will get proper ventilation. Even with their delicate lungs and noses, my rats have no adverse reaction to the scent whatsoever. In fact, they like to chew on the dried rosebuds for a bit and carry them around when I first add new bedding.

We have no Petsmart, so I have this shipped. Wish it were a bit cheaper, but the product is an absolute must!

ONLY GOOD FOR HAMSTERS MICE AND BIRD LITTER

This bedding smells really good, and 9 out of our 10 dwarf hamsters love it. (one just kicks it out of the way) We tried it for our gerbil too, and he kicks it out of the way and shreds toilet paper/papertowel rolls and makes a bed. Our rats hate it and do the same thing. We used to have mice and they liked it too. It makes great litter stuff in the tray at the bottom of the cage for cockatiels too.

So, if you have hamsters or mice, this is good.
For rats/gerbils, bad.
If you are using it as cockatiel litter, good.

Pros: smells good, good for hamsters, good litter for birds, good for mice

Cons: rats don't like it, gerbils don't like it
