Lovely Light Lavender Scent

I add a few handfuls of Kaytee Soft Granule Blend with Lavender to the primary bedding of unscented Kaytee Soft Granule Blend, giving the habitat a pleasant, light scent which my mice seem to enjoy as well. Even with 3 mice, the bedding does its job very effectively, continuing to absorb urine and odors even if I don't do a full bedding change each week. Excellent product and the bag lasts a long time so it's economical, too.
Pros: easy to clean, eliminates odor, low dust

I tried every bedding and this combination works and lasts the longest - combine this and Aspen wood chips (80% wood chips & 20% of this product) and it covers the odors longer, allows the "gifts" left by our buddies to be not as transparent, they don't eat this as much as other bedding AND when combining these two I get double the life! (Of course you need to do a quick pick daily to remove the visible "gifts"! I used to use the "Mint" Scent and it worked the best! The Pet Smarts I use do not carry it anymore. BOOOO.. BUT the product is great when combining!

So when I bought this I was really excited. I cleaned my cage and put this new bedding for my two dwarfs Pumpkin & Pudding. But they didn't seem excited as I was. They had trouble burrying in it and seem to have trouble sleeping in it also. I think I'm going to stick to my regular bedding for now

This was a great product and my Syrian hammy loved it! I loved the scent and that it had little pieces of dried lavender in the bedding. It was a little dusty but it was awesome!!

I use to have a hammy who saddly died of old age and I currently have my cavy in my room (also a betta but they don't smell) while I love my pig my mom and dad don't love her smell. And even with frequent cage cleaning and a bath every few weeks the smell still was terrible. So I headed to pet smart for an idea. At first I tryed a clip on freshener but that did nothing. Then I tryed the air wick audomatic spray and why it worked well it was expencive to refill and it only masked the sent. Now I just got this today as piggy litter (I'm going to potty train my baby) but it's already making a diffrence. I'm not sure if she's using it but I'm for sure getting this product again. I couldn't help smell the bag the entier way home. My room is alreayd inproving in sent and I'm well please so far. (I got lavendar sent)

Good Bedding and Nice Smell

I switched to this Lavender scented bedding when I found that the Mint scented bedding was no longer available in the size that I usually get. Great for large animals and small animals. I would not recommend it for Rats due to the dust content. With that out of the way I Use this for all my hamsters and they just love it.
Pros: eliminates odor, easy to clean
Cons: messy

Unsure

To be completely honest I cant really say whether this product is good or bad because of a big problem I got in corrolation with getting both it and my new guinea pig. Around the time I bought my guinea pig I started using the lavender scented product and it smelled amazing, my room always smelled good despite having so many pets in one room and my babies seemed to like it. It was a little messy because of my rambunctious baby guinea pig but not a huge deal until my fiancee and I started getting covered in bug bites. After a lot of trial and research we realized that it was mites. They were coming off my guinea pig I discovered but I also felt like they were attracted to the bedding. We went back to recycled paper bedding, sprayed and cleaned everything and gave baths to all of the pets. It seems like the mites are gone but I'm just not 100% sure that the bedding isn't what drew them in or kept them there. It's just something to consider if you do end up with a mite problem.
Pros: eliminates odor, low dust
Cons: messy

Not a Great Product at All. . .

I bought this bedding when I got my first Holland Lop Rabbit, who's very clean. She only goes to the bathroom in one area. Although the bedding looks pretty and people tend to buy it because it has a "natural scent" I would not recommend it. I found myself cleaning her cage every two days because the bedding let off a horrible odor, and as soon as I switched I had no problems.
Pros: low dust
Cons: Doesn't Eliminate Odor

I use this in my rabbits litter box and i absolutely LOVE it. Its super soft and it smells so nice. I made the mistake of buying a different litter made of comressed newspaper because its cheaper and its the worst decision i've made as far as bunny products go. It got really slimy when macey peed on it and it smells disgusting. This is by far the best on the market. I dont use it as bedding becausse its a bit too dusty but its amazing for my litter box. It keeps the litter box fresh and its very absorbent. I'm definitly gunna stick with soft-sorbent. Save your self some head aches and just BUY IT!!!!!

I can't really smell this unless you're up close to it, but overall I had noticed a bit a fresher scent coming from the animal cages. I used the lavendar and mint (not at the same time) and both I really like. I haven't tried the rose since it's pink (I have only male pets currently) and in-store it doesn't smell as good as the others (in my oppionion). I like that the lavendar is available in a big bag, but the mint is not sadly. I like to buy these on sale since their normal price is a bit too high. I use Soft-Sorbent for all my cages since it is simply the best. I've tried every brand out there and soft-sorbent does the most. Currently I have guinea pigs and rats and this works great for all of them. This is soft, low dust but does contain dried pieces of lavendar, roses or mint leaves. If you have allergies or something, I probably wouldn't use this scented kind. This is easy to mix in with the regular Soft-Sorbent and for me, 1 bag can fill 2 medium cages. These are fairly neutral and could be used for any gender of animal, except maybe the pink rose. Overall great, I jsut wish these were cheaper all the time!
Pros: lightly scented, decent price, best bedding brand
Cons: more $ than the regular, dried plant pieces

I have a rat that has some breathing issues with most wood shaving bedding.
I got this and her breathing is much better these days and the bedding itself smells wonderful!
Pros: very low dust, smells great
Cons: large rose chunks

A friend of mine had this product in lavender and I liked the texture. I bought some in mint and I think it's going to be a keeper.
The soft sorbent is definitely messy stuff, though! I have it in a 10 gallon aquarium for my dwarf hamsters. I personally would not use this for my rabbits because I can just imagine what a mess they would make! I think it is fine for hamsters who have deep cage bottoms, but will be too much upkeep for those with shallower bottoms.
The smell is a little strong so use your best judgment. My hamsters very curious of it but have not shown any negative reaction toward it. I use Carefresh most of the time but I plan to use this product regularly too.

My dutch rabbit Carmine uses this as a base for his cage and in his litter box, I've only tried the mint but look forward to trying the other kinds, his cage never smells bad! and I love how soft it is and isn't very dusty like others I have used, great product but buy the big bag it's a much better value.

Not good for long fur

I bought this and loved the smell very clean but it is not good for any type of pet with long hair. My teddy bear hamster's fur was long and this material kept getting stuck and caught in his fur. It was very hard to remove. Some pieces I had to cut out so I wouldn't hurt my hammie by trying to pull the litter out of his fur. If your animals have short hair I do not see this is being a bad product. Long fur beware!
Pros: smells nice
Cons: not for long fur animals

I use this bedding, in lavender scent, as an under layer for my easy pour soft wood shaving bedding. This controls odor TERRIFICALLY and I love how it has real lavender in it. Scooter really enjoys digging out the lavender buds and bringing them back to his nest. Very essential in owning a hamster!
