I put this in a dish for my birds and I see them crunching on it so it must be good to them. I would recommend introducing this to your bird with another source of calcium available until the find it and figure out what it is.

Pros: birds get their dose of calcium while they crunch

I ordered 6 day old chicks and the regular chicken grit was too large for them to swallow so I bought some of this. They liked it and grew into some wonderful backyard layers.
