I bought this today for my pet rats to use outside because the weather is nice. The bars are so flimsy and my one of my rats can squeeze right through them because of it as well as the fact that the spacing is far too big. The smaller one gets out with ease and the bigger one gets stuck and ends up freaking out. The poor thing probably got so stressed out. I don't recommend this pen for small animals such as rats.

This playpen is easy to put together and easy to store, I thought it was a little pricey, but in the end, well worth it.

We use this to give our rabbit a little "front porch" for his cage - this allows him several feet of extra space (in addition to the space inside his cage) to run around and play, and is pretty much permanently set up in our living room. If you don't have enough room to set this up permanently, it's still pretty good to fold up and take outside or on the back porch to give your small pet some exercise without worrying about them getting loose and chewing on things they're not supposed to. We can also detach one side of the playpen from his cage and swing it around in front of the basement hallway so he can't go down the stairs. I will warn you of one thing - bunnies are smart, and if you don't secure the playpen (when being used as a "porch fence" or to block off a part of a room), they will eventually figure out that if they grab it and push and pull, they can work it away from walls or out from behind furniture! We've only had one or two escapes, and those were because we didn't secure it to his cage well. Our rabbit also likes to chew on his playpen, and shake and rattle it (probably trying to escape!) - he's scraped off some of the white plastic-y coating, but it has held up very well for more than a year and doesn't look like it will need replacing any time soon.

This playpen has been a lifesaver for us, we own 12 ferrets and have two of these playpens combined to make one big area. It is a great option when you want to let the ferrets out but can't watch them every second. However my only complaint is this, it is kind of a hassle to connect together, once you get the top hooked the bottom comes undone and vice versa, but the hassle of that is worth it in the long run, I highly recommend this product.

The cage worked great for the first couple of days, and then my ferrets started figuring out that the good just bite the latch and then open it up and squeeze out. Why i bought this cage in the efirst place is when i let them out to play, but the do the same thing over and over again. Get Out! i would recommend for you to get this cage and the plastic bottom peice so that your ferrets cant get out, and that they dont terroize your carpet
