I just bought this food on a whim for Bow and Lace, my new pet mice, because its a great deal for a large long-lasting bag. I probably could've found better food with a larger variety of stuff in the mix because I wish I could use some seeds as treats instead of buying a separate bag of treats, but oh well. They eat it when they're hungry and they like it, that's all that matters! :)

Not very good food

Got two bags of this for my rats and they really don't like it.
They only eat two of the things in he food, the red and yellow crunchy things.
Rats don't eat anything else. Not the corn, not the blocks not the grain.
Waste of money.

I got this for my rats once when my local Petsmart was out of what I normally get. It worked, but I noticed there were a lot of things my rats didnt eat and a lot of it ended up going to waste.

I have 4 different rats and they all have different tastes in food, so I get a variety of brands and treats and mix them all together. However, they all like sunflower seeds and corn, and from the little window, this brand looked like it would work.

What I noticed with this brand is that there a lot of those little green pellet things that look like ferret food. Im not exactly sure what they are, but I know my rats will not eat them, at all. Even if I dont give them fresh food for a week, they will not eat those pellets, and about 60% of this brand is nothing but pellets.

This food is super cheap and it is really good quality! My girl rats Lottie and Posey love this food! It smells good, and you get a big bag for such a good price! I would definately reccomend this to anyone with rats or mice! I love it and my rats love it :)

My sister had to go to the pet store to get me rat food and she picked out the first thing she saw which was this. My two rats will eat everything in the mix but the pellets that come in it. I did not like the fact that there were so many sunflower seeds and a lot of corn in it that I had to pick out. I was happy my rats ate it but I will shop around for a better brand. I feed this in addition to pellets so they have a variety.

The two mice that I have love this food! They especially like the sunflower seeds! Though, the smaller feed isn't thier favourite. It is a good product for mice- you get your money's worth!

Good but not excellent

My rats Milo and Eirian love this food with some other things mixed in. However, the major part of this food, the little alfalfa pellets, are hard for rats to digest and are therefor only there as a filler. So really you are only getting about half of the bag worth of good feed. But mixed with dog food and other rat goodies it makes a great base. There could be more lab blocks in it though. I ran out in a few days.

Pros: good quality ingredients

Cons: too much alfalfa filler

This food was an excellent choice for some rats and mice. But my rats did not eat one part of the food. They were excited for the rest of the food though. They just wouldn't eat that one part. They just left it sitting there in their bowl. I don't think this food might be good for all rats or mice though. Choose your pets' food wisely.

I got this food for my two rats, Pearl and Harriet, because it had variety and was inexpensive. They don't really like the small pellets and some of the seeds. When I replace it, I have to make sure the bananas, pumpkin seeds, and lab blocks are on top or else they won't eat it.

Well, I have fed other mixes to my hamster and she became obese and stuff. So, I was leery about getting this for my mouse, but it contains mostly different kinds of pellets, so he gets proper nutrition. The only thing is that he doesn't like the lab blocks that come in here. He used to eat them, but now he eats everything except those. Good thing my rats like the lab blocks!

Our rats love this stuff. In fact, sometimes they love it too much! We have 13 pet rats and they eat as much as we will give them. The good news is that it is less expensive than many other brands - a real value.

This is a nice blend of corn, grain, and manufactured tidbits. It appears to be well-balanced and our rats are very healthy. They sometimes get treats of fruit or vegetables but this diet is quite adequate to meet their nutritional needs.

i have 3 rats and had many in the past i have used many different rat foods but this is the only one they seem to truely enjoy, and its not too high in protein which can be bad for rats. i used to have a hairless rat i adopted from some friend and when i got her she was extremly underweight and i put her on this and she enjoyed it and started gaining weight in no time. i would really recommend this to my friends and others in fact i have.
