My hahn's macaw can't get enough of this stuff. While doing my monthly bird cleaning, I always have to replace her long strip of shredder and weave another strip into her cage. I weave it through the bars on the top of her cage because she seems to enjoy shredding it more when she sitting up and out of her cage. The best part about shredder, is that it's like you never run out of it. I've had my shredder for over a year now, and I still have plenty more to go through!

This is by far, the most useful thing i have used in a while for my birds. I tie some on the cage bars, and they go nuts playing with it and they just love it. If they get bored of one of there toys, just wrap some of this around it, and bam. Brand new. This also makes a good foraging toy. Take a small dish, and fill it with reats, and this stuff! This stuff lasts a while, 30 feet of it, so its an awesome price! Buy this! Your birds will love it!

My two parakeets absolutely love shredding this toy. I cut it into smaller strips then make it into a fan and hang it in their cage. I also weave it through to bars and they spend hours pulling it out and shredding it. I do have to replace it a lot but the big roll it comes in lasts quite a while. I recommend this toy to any parakeet owner as it is both fun and safe.

I bought this for my two parakeets sky and angel. Occasionally, they will peck at it. Angel with sometimes get mad at it and start to shred it but its very rare. I'm thinking about giving it to my hamster... the roll is also very long. 30 ft. good price. maybe my friends bird will like it? :/

at first my boys (2 cockatiels - over 10 years old) weren't too sure, of the random item that i put through the bars of their cages..(i cut smaller and larger pieces of it for them, at a time)

but a week later they saw what it was for. this keeps them busy and they love to chew it! you get a lot of it for the price too.

This is one of the best toys ever! It is so versatile! You can cut it and weave it through your cage bars, string it up to make a toy, or tie random knots on perches and it will provide hours of shredding fun. Even though it may seem pricey, one roll does last for a long time.

It livens up toys both new and old. If my bird is not enthusiastic about a new toy or finds an old toy boring I wrap it in this. Then the birds are interested in the toy and enjoy it, even once the shredding is gone. Snip off a piece and hand it over as a foot toy. Weave it through cage bars to help keep your bird amused when you're at work.

An easy, cheap toy is a kabob with pieces of shredder strung on it. I refill the kabob as needed and add pieces from older toys that have fallen apart. Not only does my bird love it, but it allows me to recycle toys that would have gone into the trash.

Pros: terrific for pluckers/over-preeners, great shredding, many ways to use it

This toy was exactly what I was looking for for my cockatiel, Phelix. He has a bad habit of chewing on the wood in my camper and chewing on everything wicker or straw. He made messes and destroyed things... but not anymore. Now Phelix chews on his new toy! The reason I gave it a 4 is that when I followed the instructions to cut off a foot long piece and hang it in his cage, he was scared of it! I had to force him into his cage to go to bed! (he is usually quite happy to go in), so I improvised. instead of cutting off strips, I left the roll in-tact and he sits on it and chews it! I guess it reminds him of the wicker boxes he chewed on before! I would totally recomend this to a fellow bird owner.

I tie bits of this toy along my conures' cages, weaving it in and out of the bars, and sometimes hiding it in toys. They are kept entertained for quite a while as they try to find every last strip and shred it to pieces!

I first purchased this product for my friend's cockatiel - he loved it... and when I got a cockatiel of my own, it was the only thing she played with for a full month after bringing her home. It seems like my bird likes to do things that cause messes that we have to clean up... so this is good. He likes to shred paper and it gets everywhere... so I bought him this. He played with it as soon as I put it in his cage, while other toys he just ignores for a few hours. Not messy, would recommend it.

Great for birds that like to shred

I use this toy for a sun conure and a parrotlet. You can cut the length you want then weave into the bars of a cage, tie to toys, weave in ladders, clip to the bars, and so on. It makes things interesting for the birds and keeps them busy in happy destruction. It shreds nice but also will not be destroyed in one second, depending on the size of the bird. Very large birds may make short work of it. I hope these stay in stock.
