My betta fish has really bad tail rot. I oringinally use Melafix, it only works well in exactly 24 hours or less, and after that, I can actually see the bacteria eats more of his tail. I had to do 100% water change everyday before I add Melafix (2.5 gallon tank) other wise the effect would be really poor.
After I switched to Mardal Maracyn powder form, I can clearly see the bacteria has stopped eating the tail. I haven't seen his tail grows back, but atleast the bacteria has stopped.
If your fish tank is less than 10 gallon, it is hard to measure the amount...
Very good product, I recommended to everybody.
Pros: very effective

I have used Mardel products for years. I trust all of them and they work exactly as they claim. They don't wipe out my tanks biological ecosystem and if I make an accurate diagnosis, they work wonders. You come with very easy to use instructions and a chart that helps walk you through diagnosing what is wrong with your fish.
