When I first bought this I was thinking "what's up with these reviews? This wheel is amazing!!!" and then a few days later it was not so quiet. It got squeaky, rumbly, loud, and shaky. I put 2 stars because..... it works and my hamster loves it.

We bought this wheel because of its large size. Our mouse grew bigger than we anticipated so the small wheel his cage came with no longer fit his needs. This wheel barely lasted a week. Our mouse chewed on the center part effectively ruining the mechanics of it where it seperated from the pin and fell apart. My husband tried to rig something with a screw but now it's even louder than when it was intact; plus our mouse is still chewing on the center of it which means we'll have a buy another new one very soon. Maybe he's chewing on it so much because the plastic is thinner there? Anyway, if your rodent is a real nibbler, don't get this. They'll have it eaten in no time. If you're looking for something quieter - this isn't your best option either.

I have this for two degus... not as large as chins... they have long nails and they go fast so all I hear is thump thump bang bang of the wheel for like hrs on end when they are awake and using it... DRIVING ME INSANE!!!! sounds like an elephant is running in it instead of a 2 oz degu~

I have it on a flat surface (no bedding etc under and yet it the wheel part slants down... One falling out degu once in awhile... Going to have to buy the larger Silent Spinner... they dont have the 12" one... on another website....

I purchased this wheel for my chinchilla. We attached it to the cage just like it says it can. It was extremly loud!! She seemed to really like it and she would fly on it! The wheel broke within 2 weeks. The plastic piece on the back broke off. I would never recommend this product!!!!

I had bought this wheel for my chinchilla and she LOVES it. It is rather noisy . I am just concerned that it will harm her back when she gets bigger. When she runs her back touched the screw thing in the middle. When she gets bigger I am going to switch to one of the saucer wheels. It attaches to the cage which is wonderful and it is easy to clean!

People claim this is loud, but honestly, I've heard some loud wheels and this is nothing. However, if you're used to having a silent house, then yes, this is quite loud (I use the sound to gauge whether or not my mouse is okay at night). Any wheel that will last and is safe will have a bit of sound to it, that's just the nature of the beast. It has a rumble to it because of how large it is, but I secured it to the floor of her tank with packing tape just off from the side of the tank and it really helped with even that rumble. Normally you'd think to get a smaller wheel for a mouse, but mine happened to have gotten as big as some of those hamsters I see in the stores, so she benefits from the extra size. I felt the silent ones at the store because some people said they were too slick for their pet to grip, and though they had ridges molded into the wheel like this one has, they were still really slick. One thing I did notice is the part the stand plugs into on the back of this one seemed a bit like the rack was stuffed in there really hard; that part may be an issue soon, but they all looked like that at the store, so time will tell.

I also am surprised by all the negative reviews. I got this wheel about 6 months ago and I am glad that I did. I like that it is solid so my rat's feet or tails don't get tangled. I have attached it to the cage, it wanted to walk a bit when my rats would use it while on the stand. The only noise I ever dealt with was when it would rub against the case before I mounted it. I couldn't figure out how to mount it to the cage but a strong zip tie did the trick. I am happy with my purchase and so are my ratties!

This is by far the Loudest wheel that I have ever purchased! I thought I could sleep through the racket the first few nights and the wheel ended up in the trash the next day! Not pleased with this product! I know super pet can do better than this!

I bought the small wheel for my two mice about two weeks ago. At first it was completely silent, but after a few days is would make so much noise, I couldn't sleep. After a couple of sleepless nights, I took a cotton swab, dipped it in olive oil, rubbed it all over the "gear" parts of the wheel, and took the wheel off the stand to oil the spot where the wheel attaches to the stand. 30 seconds of work, and BOOM silent wheel! The olive oil is safe for small pets, so if you're pet licks at it, it's not harmful. You may need to re-oil the wheel as needed.

i bought this wheel for diggy (my russian dwarf hamster) about two months ago and it was an okay size for him when we first got him, but now it's definitely small for him. I like the product because the solid running surface and easyness to clean. I currently have the 5.5 inch wheel and am gonna buy the 8.5 inch wheel this weekend. If your animal is a baby when you buy the wheel i would recommend saving money by buying a bigger size if it still has to grow a lot. It is a litte loud, but it might be because my hamster is too big for it.

I have two of these for my hedgehogs, they love them and so do i there eay to clean there quiet as wheel can be they dont squeak and their easy to clean.i've had mine for almost 2 years now and not a single problem, there very sturdy my little girl hedgie runs like a maniac on hers all night and still standing strong.i highly recommand this for all small pet ownes.

We tried this for our syrian hamster because he was too big for his silent spinner (which is great if you have a smaller pet). It was wobbly, very noisy, and the poor hamster had an awfully hard time pushing it. Kept it for a week and a half, then bought the Ware Stainless Steel Exercise Wheel, which is a much better product. Get the Ware one, skip this one.

There is nothing good about this wheel. It is way to loud and putting oil on it does nothing because the shape of the wheel prevents it from spinning in a straight circle...It wobbles more than squeeks and there's no solution for that problem. I had a difficult time cleaning it. I ended up breaking it on accident trying to take it off the stand. The price of this wheel isn't that good because you could buy one of those metal wheels for cheaper.

Overall...1/10

I purchased this wheel after having to return a different brand wheel and was worried my hamster wouldn't like it since she hated the wheel I returned. She loves it. She runs on it, grooms herself while sitting in it and eats food while sitting in it. It Isn't noisy or squeaky although when I tested them out in the store one or two did squeak so you just have to be careful about which one you buy. You do hear the tap of little feet running but you hear that with almost all wheels. It Is just as silent as some of the more expensive brand wheels.

I have a chinchilla and thought this wheel would great.. He loves it but it is so loud... If you don't attach it to the cage it slides all over the place... But once it is attached to the cage the metal stand bangs against it making it more loud and annoying and there is no way of removing the stand... Would not re command for any one with a Chinchilla...
