My hamster loves this toy. She sees me pick it up and she's at the bars of her cage waiting to come out. The vents are great for air circulation, and the contraption is completely escape proof. It's hours of exerscise for her and hours of entertainment for the rest of the house. This is a very safe way to let your hamster explore the world outside of the cage, she even chases my dogs around in it!

I recently rescued a rat and gerbil from being snake food. They were un-expected pets, but loved all the same. I bought the 5" ball and an 7" ball as well (both in clear. My gerbil is the size of a mouse but did not like the 5", but LOVES the 7". He ran around in it while I cleaned his cage, and roamed the house after I was done. I will have to return the 5", and get the 11" or the 13" and see if my rat enjoys the bigger ball.

i had my hamster in it for 10 minutes in my room alone. i go back in there and the lid was off and my hamster was behind my dresser. i would have gave it 0 stars but it wouldnt let me. i plan on getting a new ball. i wouldnt recomond this product to anyone in the world. never buy this its junk junk junk junk junk junk junk junk junk. its not worth $10.00. i will never buy this product ever again. id be beter off with no ball at all. i hate this product i hate it.

I love this cause it lets my hamster explore around his habitat without me worrying about him getting stuck in holes or escaping. Mine came with Kaytee food so that's good! It's great for when I clean his cage. I really enjoy watching my hamster in this!:)

This run-around-ball is pretty good for my gerbils, but if you get one, make SURE that it's a clear or light color, or you can hardly see you furry friend at all! The balls do offer a good amount of exersize and entertainment, and my gerbils like them, too. But personally, I'd rather get a wheel my gerbils can use all the time.

I bought this for my rats and they absolutely hated it!! I couldn't even get them to go near it!
I eventually coaxed them in with treats and they just cowered in it and urinated EVERYWHERE.
My rats have never been scared of anything in their life, except for this.

This is a good product! My hamster Ghillie loves running around in her ball. I bought her the regular size and it's perfect for her. I read that a lot of users had urine leak out which I can imagine would be a problem. So far my hamster has only gone number 2 in the ball, and unfortunately it has fallen out the cracks in the ball. That's the only complaint I have though; it's very very entertaining to watch! Let them run on something that's easily cleanable...maybe not carpet unless you don't care if anything leaks out. :)

I don't know if my guinea pigs are just lazy but when I put them in the ball they just sat there. Guinea pigs are not as energetic as rats and ferrets just as they don't use exercize wheels. On the box it does say "great for guinea pig transportation" though so maybe there's my problem. I gave it three stars because maybe it works for other pets. Plus, it was a bit pricey for a plastic ball.

This is GREAT! My hamster Minty LOVES THIS BALL!!! If I hold it up to the cage she will run out and claw on the door! I have only one problem wit the potty isues. It doesnt leak out but it will roll ALL OVER the ball and you will have to thouroghly clean it or it will stain. Over all I aboslutly love this product(:

My rat absolutely LOVES her Run-About ball. Whenever I pick it up, she bounces about her cage and climbs the bars looking for a way out. All I have to do it open the cage door and hold the ball up to it with the lid off and she dashes inside. She sits and waits patiently while I put the lid on and take her to the living room to roll. She has a great time in it. However, the lid has come off before. I can usually hear her bumping into furniture and corners while she rolls. One day, she got out of my sight and became very quiet. I found her sitting in the kitchen floor looking up at me in the ball. The lid had come off and the ball rolled onto the flat opening. She couldn't push it over to move it and she just sat there waiting for me. I now secure the lid with a small piece of strong tape placed somewhere on the lid that she can't get to. This has kept her from escaping. Also, after about 15 to 20 minutes of rolling about, she tends to go "number 1" inside of it and this causes it to smell terribly, along with my little rattie. I don't use it much anymore because I don't want her to smell so bad or get loose in the house.

My dwarf hamster absolutely loves his ball. When he hears the click of the lid opening he runs up to his cage door and waits for me to pick him up and put him in it. Although I had a little trouble figuring out the lid lock the first few times the Run-About Ball was a great buy for my little hammie. Cleanup is easy as I just rinse it out after every use and the price was great since it included a treat stick inside which he loves just as much as his ball. :)

My rats like this the can't get into anything their not supposed to but when they ''potty'' in it, it kinda makes a mess in the carpet. This works good for mice, gerbils, dwarf hamsters, guinea pigs, ferrets, and chinchillas also.

At first I thought this was a great product , but then it started to break . It was on my bed (which is quite close to the ground) and it fell off and landed on my CARPET and cracked . It is easily broken , and pet droppings fell out of it . My pet peed in it , and i washed it as soon as I noticed but I still can't get rid of the smell ! I am getting rid of this product , and I'm looking for a better quality one !

This run-about ball is perfect for any small pet. Hamsters and gerbils can run around in here all day. It's fairly easy to clean, and it is easy to open and close.

i bought the regular size ball for my dwarf hammie, skittles. he seemed to like it but i noticed he had some trouble moving it where he wanted it to go. later on i got the MINI run about ball and it worked perfectly! the only thing wrong with it was that it was kinda hard to clean. and the best part is that both of them came with a treat stick (which my hammie LOVES!)

I always use the 7 inch size for my teddy hamsters, or the 4 inch for dwarfs. I bought the Mega size (13 inches) for my adult male rat, but it was simply too big. Do not use for Guinea Pigs. The packaging says you can, but Guinea Pigs do not have flexible spines and do not like to run in balls or on wheels. Do not buy if you have a piggy. I haven't tried these on Chinchillas, but these are a must have for hamsters, mice or rats--as long as you measure correctly! If you have too big of a ball, they won't be able to move it around since it's too heavy for them. Make sure you never leave your pet alone when in a ball, and do not exceed 1 hour of play since they need breaks for food and water. These are easy to wash out but the doors do break easilly so be careful when locking the lid. The Mega has two doors which increase the chance of breaking. These scratch easy too.

Pros: nice sizes, fun colours or clear, must have for active pets

Cons: not for piggies, sometimes too big to use, more size options, doors can break easy

This allows my hamsters to run around and explore, which they love.

The only problem is that sometimes, droppings and urine fall through the vents and ends up on the floor.
