I previously had a plastic water bottle for my hamster and decided to upgrade to a glass one so that I could wash the body of the bottle it in the dishwasher to properly disinfect and clean it. The bottle worked well when I got it. I love the duck marker to indicate when I need to refill the bottle and like the fact it cannot come out of the bottle and get lost (unlike other water bottle markers of other brands). Didn't leak but never properly fit on the side of the cage. When you tighten the spout on in order for it to be inside the cage the flat side of the water bottle does not lay against the cage therefore defeating the whole purpose of having one flat side. Within a month the water bottle started to leak really badly and the plastic piece that holds the spout is cracked, therefore letting air into the water bottle, and constantly running out water. The bottle emptied out into the cage in about an hour after filling it. I had to switch back to my plastic water bottle that is 4 years old, has never leaked, and was a fraction of the cost of this one. Also the spring/wire that comes with the bottle used to attach the bottle to the cage is sharp and I cut my finger open when I put it on last. Bottom line don't waste your money on this water bottle. Just to note I NEVER put the spout piece in the dishwasher so that is not why it cracked.

I bought this product a long time ago and it leaked like crazy. I had to get rid of it. A week ago I was looking on youtube and found that lots of Guinea Pig owners actually recommended it. I decided to give it another try. It is fabulous. It dosen't leak at all and is very sturdy. I am planning to buy 3 more. One for my other chinchilla and 2 for my new guinea pigs!

I first bought these a year ago and they worked great. They didn't leak and my chinchillas had no problem getting water out of them. Now they leak all the time and I am constantly cleaning up the water.

This water bottle is amazing! It doesn't leak at all, and the little ducky works really well for telling when you need to fill the bottle. The only problem is that the little spring that holds it to the bars rusts over a month or so. But other then it rusting, this water bottle is perfect for rabbits, (I own 2 rabbits, and they love it!) guinea pigs, rats, etc. It is very easy to clean and also very easy for the animal to drink water from. I definitely recommend this for anyone with one of the above. Five stars!!!!!

I bought two of these for my guinea pigs because i wanted them to both have their own water bottle. I went to clean up the bottle and i noticed that the stopper that makes the duck float to the top fell out. So now the duck just floats on his side. The first water bottle started leaking like CRAZY, so i decided to get rid of that one and use the other one which wasn't leaking too bad. I heave whoever buys this product a warning! PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH THIS BOTTLE OR IT WILL LEAK. Overall, my guinea pigs love it they both drink from it all the time. However, just in case this leaks i would recommend purchasing a second water bottle for them.

I bought this a couple days ago at Petsmart when buying my pet hamster. An employee told us that she uses this brand, and that it works great. As we came home, everything seemed to be working just fine. For the next couple days, we kept noticing that she hasn't been drinking any water. She's been going up to the drinking bottle, and trying really hard to get water out of it, so we didn't think anything of it. That night we tested the water bottle out again. It was dry. So we went back out to the store, bought another one, and the same exact thing happened all over again. Never buying this brand again- DON'T GET IT FOR YOUR HAMSTER!

Doesn't help to have a flat side if you can't tighten the cap the proper amount so that the spout is still sticking into the cage. In order to have the spout going in the right direction (and not 45 degrees off center) I had to really tighten it - then it was too tight and water wouldn't come out. I loosened it a bit, my rabbit can get water for the night, but I couldn't attach it to the cage with the provided hardware because the flat side of the bottle is not against the cage. Returning in the morning...

This is the best water bottle EVER!!! my gerbil loves this. my friend has a hamster and they like it too. it doesn't leak at all and gives them water. at sometimes it doesn't give water but it will eventually. you need to buy this!!

I couldnt figure out why this bottle wasn't working. But then I found a whole forum on how you had to leave the cap lose for the animal to get the water. I hope my poor Autumn drinks now!

My first water bottle would leak the whole bottle onto the floor, so I bought this one! It was a good price, and seemed promising. And it works! As it says on the package, it will leak a couple drops when you first fill it but then it seals and works fine! No mess, and my bunny loves drinking from it way more. The duck is helpful too. Just wish I bought a bigger one!

I purchased this item for my rabbit, installed it in the cage with some difficulty (it cannot be affixed to the outside due to the angle of the nozzle, which cannot be adjusted), watched the rabbit use it once, then went about my business. Apparently the only water that came out was what was already dripping from the end from when I filled it because the next morning I noticed that no water had been dispensed. I checked the nozzle to make sure it was working and it was not! No matter what I did I could not get water to come out of the nozzle at all, it was bone dry although the bottle was full. My rabbit was thirsty all night and hogged down a bowl of water when I realized what had happened. Do not buy this, it's difficult to use and doesn't work at all.

This is a great bottle for my rabbit. When I figured how to use it properly I found that it doesn't leak at all!
You have to screw on the cap VERY tightly in order to create a vacuum seal or else small amounts of air will seap in. The first time I filled it up I screwed the cap on not too tightly like you would on a bottle of water or bottle of pop. After attaching it to the cage I watched it for a few minutes and it leaked for a few drips and stopped. I thought it was ok so I left it for a while, only to find after 2 hours that the entire contents of the bottle had leaked out and flooded the cage! I was going to return it and just buy a heavy bowl but gave it another try and refilled the bottle ensuring the cap was screwed on extra tight.
Haven't had a problem since! It doesnt even drip when my bunny shakes the cage. The only cons are that the floating duck falls out and the spout is a little short. I still managed to attach it securely to the wider bars of a dog kennel that I am using as a rabbit cage. It takes about 3 days for my bunny to finish the bottle.

It's a really good water bottle!!! It doesn't leak. I did notice if you don't screw the cap on tight, it will leak. You have to do it ALL THE WAY! It's also chew proof and has a little duck in it to show you the water level. I would highly recommend this product!

When I bought my first cage for my Guinea Pig, it came with a cheap blue plastic bottle which I used for quite a while. Yet after a while, the bottle became gross, so I tossed it and bought this bottle.
The bottle works well, yet has a few 'con's'. Here's a list:
Pros:
- See-through, which can help you when your cleaning so you can see which spots you've missed
- Holds quite a bit of water
- Nice look
Cons:
- Spout falls off sometimes, and water leaks everywhere
- Claims that it doesn't leak as much as other bottles, but it leaks as much as my cheap blue one
- Has a short-neck on the bottle
- The duck inside of it can fall out of the bottle when cleaning (I just took the duck out, though, so problem solved)
I guess you have to weigh the pro's and con's though.

I bought this product for 2 gerbils. It started leaking almost immediately. Every time that I refill it, I have to spend 10 minutes messing with the seal and trying to get the little ball in place so that it doesnt empty out into the bedding 5 minutes after I set up the bottle.
For how expensive this water bottle was, I expect a better product.

This is a great bottle we have 3 bunnies, they can't chew it and it dosent leak. We have a bunny that had a stroke and falls over often(Posy), this is easy for her to reach and get water from. Before this bottle we had a bowl and Posy alays fell in it and got wet and cold. This is a good bottle and easy to fill up. Our bunnies give it 4/4 paws! The only problem is our 3 bunnies drink it in about 8 hours.

My bunny, Wafer, used to chew holes in the plastic water bottle that I had before, and I solved the problem by getting this. I really love the little duck in the bottle, because anyone in the house can clearly see if he's out of water and will usually fill it up. Which brings me to how easy it is to fill. It's simply a matter of unlatching the spring, unscrewing the lid and filling it up. Also, this water bottle never leaks. That's really probably it's best feature because the cage below has never stayed as dry as it is with this bottle. My only complaint is the size, because it doesn't take long before it is emptied again.

My rabbit, Cooper, did like the water bottle when I bought it. After a while, he was tug placed it somewhere else. THAT'S when it starts leaking a little. But overall, Cooper and I love the water bottle. :)
