"This is a very nice product, but it's better if you put a sponge because substrate may get in there if you don't put a sponge."

Cons: way too small
"This is a useless product. the tub is way to small for almost all crabs and does not give them the room to properly soak and clean themselves. It does look nice, but that's about it. There are a lot of better things to use for less money."

"Very cute but totally useless for larger hermit crabs. All species of LHC require sources of both fresh and salt water available at all times and need to be able to at least submerge up to their shell opening. Would be good for micros, tinies, and maybe smalls."

"I love the look of this product. Whenever I take him out for his weekly bath, i put him in this pool. I only have one pool and I switch water everyday between salt and fresh. But, my hermies hate it! They still get their salt water though. My hermies are soo picky you wont belive it!"

"Cute for a beach theme tat but only good for teeny/small Hermie's. Hermit's need both a fresh and saltwater pool that they can submerge in up to their eyes so this really only works for smaller crabs."
