I got this for my 2 small hermit crabs. it works very well for begginers. i have 1 question and that is can i fit 3 small hermit crabs in this starter kits.

Hey guys you have to remember this is NOT a habitat to keep in your home! Remember this a travel case for taking to places, taking on vacation etc. its good for a travel case its not too expensive. If you bought this product, do NOT use it at home its meant to be a travel case!
So don't go hating on it its meant to be carried not kept at home. Yes it might not be the best, sturdiest product but its a travel case thats why its like that when you go on vacation it holds in sunlight at least, you have to admit all of your reviews on this product are all 100% true. But just to let you know its a travel case!

This cage fits together very poorly and is not sturdy at all. Not at all worth the price. And I have learned that hermit crabs need more enclosure, this is too open for the humidity required. A total waste of my money!

When I first got this cage, it was not keeping the humidity inside so i bought jungle bedding, and it stays humid for up to three days! The other issue that I had was keeping in the heat. This was an easy fix. I just placed it over my heating vent in the floor (making sure it doesn't get to hot) and it was an instant hit! I would reccomend buying a new mister, as mine stopped working within two weeks. It doesn't stay together very well when the lid is lifted but that is no concern to me. Overall it is a great cage and i reccomend.

i bought this for transporting my hermit crabs Baby&Koodo back and fourth to camp but the only thing i didnt like about this cage is the spray bottle because its REALLY CHEAP! and not in a good way...

I bought my first two hermit crabs, "Krusty and Joe". It was easy to put together. It's not enough sand to me, so I had to buy more sand. I had to buy another water bowl since it only incluided a food bowl. It's nice though! I'm going to buy a bigger tank around Christmas, because i'm trying to see how they actually act. So, if you're thinking of getting a hermit crab, try this! And later on you can get a bigger tank.

I use this as a vacation cage for my crabs. I would not use this as a permenat home for yr crabs. My crabs live ina 25 gallon tank. The tank is nice though when I go on vacation I put my crabs in add some food some water some salt water and a few extra shells than I hit the road. It comes with quality sand a climbing ramb for them to play on a water dish a mini spray bottle and a sponge. When I desided to use this as a vacation cage I knew I needed a shelter I didnt want to have to spend any more money so I found a small cleaned out sour cream contaner and cut a hole as a door and my crabs love it. So i wounld'nt use this as a permenant home but it would be fine as a vacation cage or hospital cage if you have a lot of crabs.

I bought this for my two extra small hermit crabs, Turbo and Monte. I was very happy with my purchase. This product was very easy to assemble and disassemble and also easy to clean. At first it was not holding humidity but I covered the blue bars with saran rap and it now holds humidity very well. It is also very adorable and over all it is a great product! :)

This can hold maybe 5 hermit crabs (not really crabs) because of it's size. But hermit crabs need 70-80% humidity and the bars keep it dry. A mouse may be able to live in this (even though mice are terrible pets), but not a hermit crab.
Pros: big enough to hold a mouse
Cons: too much ventalation

Before I bought this I thought it would be a great cage. Boy was I wrong. At first when I only had one hermit crab the tab on the top broke while I was asembling it, and it took me an hour to finally assemble! Then it stank all the time even an hour after I cleaned it it stank. Then about a week after I got my second hermit crab I got fed up and bought an aquriam and then It didn't stink. The food dish is way to tall and my smaller hermit crab couldn't reach it.
Pros: looks nice
Cons: food dish to tall, stinky, smells

Yesterday afternoon I went to our local Petsmart and got my first hermit crab, Pirate. A man there helped us pick everything out, and he said this was the best crab home. I went home and had it set up with 10 minutes, ready to put in my new hermie! The only con was we need to get another dish for water, because only one was included, and I use it for food. The pros are this cage is adorable! It has a light, airy feel, and very beachy. Add some sea shells, and presto! Your crab has a beach home. I was worried about the food dish being too high for my crab, as it's double his size. But I watched him take a huge step, and he was in it! Food isn't included, so you have to buy some. Another pro is this cage is very roomy! My crab can speed-walk around it, manuvering the corners expertly. He loves to climb up the side bars though, but I don't think he can escape. Overall this is a wonderful cage, and I would reccomend it to whoever wanted a hermie!
Pros: adorable, room to roam
Cons: only one dish had to buy another, sponge only holds a little bit of water.

i got my first and only hermit crab when i went on vacation to the Outer Banks. however, I knew nothing about them. When i got home i went on google to find information about them, but later when i went to petsmart i found it was mostly untrue. petsmart has helped me to keep my new pet happy and healthy. this cage was one of my favorite additions. it came with everything i needed to put inside it. however to clean her i need to take the whole lid off. my crab has never climbed through the side even though she is very small. i have been very pleased with the appearance,accesibility,price,and my crab seems to be much happier in it.
Pros: good price, came with everything needed for decor, crab seems happy, good appearance, lots of space
Cons: a little hard to reach inside the cage at first., food dish unusable it's too big

I bought this product after not having crabs for two years. When i first got this new generation, i got a cage. :( that did not work leading to the stones getting stuck in the wire. I really do love this new home.
Pros: my crabs never spill their food, it is easy to clean, my crabs love the corners (unlike cages)
Cons: its on the small side, the sand is awful, it doesn't have storage, they never climb the yellow ladder, they stay lazy in there except for dumping water

when I first bought this cage it looked awsome,but one morning, I woke up to an empty cage!. I found my crabs half way down my stairs!If you still want to keep your crabs, I suggest that you don't buy this cage unless you want to nail it with duck tape.

Compared to the other hermit crab habitats available at Petsmart, this provides the best value. It is easy to assemble and portable with a carrying handle. It included sand, whereas the other habitats either provided rocks or no substrate at all. The only thing I didn't like was the food dish. I thought it was too deep for small crabs. I replaced it with a more accessible dish. The sponge was just ok. Overall, a good value.

it's sooooo cute ive only had my hermie for a couple of days but he looks so cute sitting under the little palm tree. only complaint is that the food dish (which i assumed was a water dish) is too deep and he almost drowned so should definitly only use the dish for food

I got this cage for my brother and it was great at first but then...the crab got out of the cage...somehow...and the bars always fall and it is very unstable! the climbing board just takes up space and the drinking sponge doesn't even absorb the water and somehow the crab always found himself in the water "bowl". Very disappointed with this product...although it is a little cute from face...i would recommend this to a beginner with a hermit crab looking for something cheap but besides that...not to a lot of people.
Cons: very bad cage

This crabitat is good but the humidity is an issue. for a start its ok but its better to get a more humid tank or kriiterkeeper.the crabs seem to love it, so its still great!

I love this cage for my hermit crab because it has room to walk around and he has fun going on the bridge thing.the loves it.and you can travel with it and it takes not even 2 seconds until it is put together again.the sand also makes it easier to clean becaues u can get a scopper to put up the poo. The one thing i do not use is the food bowl because it is too high and my hermit crab has to knock it down to eat and drink that makes a mess.It works the Best.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
