My guinea pig Hurley loves to run laps in her cage!
Pros: very easy to clean good size Cons: nothing!
"I finally decided on this cage for my two guinea pigs after looking long and hard. This is the best possible cage you can get! It is very easy to clean and a great size! It would be perfect for guinea pigs, a smaller bunny, ( ie holland lop ) or even rats! I highly recommend this cage! And NO, it is not too small for animals that need a big cage! It's bigger and better than it looks! The base is also high enough that your pet will not kick any bedding out the side!"

Nothing is big enough,
January 9, 2010
by BrianL
from Toronto ON
"I resuced a year old Guinea and as my 1st became a quick study. 1st was that big is good so went looking. I saw the 3 sizes and at first opted for the middle but after looking at the igloo, a couple of dishes a hay ball and litter bin, decided that bigger was better.
Since Hammie had previoulsy been housed in a small bird cage it was like free ranging for him. He was a t first a bit nervous but now uses all the available space for exercising. The top cage door could be larger to aid in adding and removing items. The side door is wire to wire and with time the paint will come off. Also it is held secure by the springyness of the wire and with time it may distort. Also, I'd prefer a larger door to help in taking Hammie out and putting him back. It is too small to keep 2 hands on him as it is done and he does not care for his rear to be unsupported. I its defence, these slight issues would be the same for other brands that I've seen as it seems to be an industry wide design.
Maybe C&C is better but they seem not to be as portable. Designed for a different environment.
Pros: Big enough for Hammie to stretch his legs. Plastic base is easy to clean. Base is high enough too keep most material in.
Cons: the base is a little too deep and seeing over it a stretch for Hammie. Solution is to make the bedding and base marterial higher. Door sizes and latching could be better.
All in all, it is a very good cage, an excellent price and should be considered by anyone looking for a Guinea cage. However, be forewarned. Hammie now is used to it and I can see him reading the catalogs looking for a bigger home soon."

Super Pet My First Home Extra Large Cage,
November 30, 2009
by xeal78
from Canada, Ontario
Pros: price, none Cons: water bottle leaked, wires were bent, too small, cage door fell off, started to rust after a few weeks!
"I bought this for my rabbit thinking the price was awesome and it was huge. I put my bunny in, his litterbox, and I with all that I couldn't even fit in his hide-a-way or his hay rack or food bowl. The cage is way to small for even a dwarf rabbit. People most likely buy this because of the price. It is a horrible cage, too small, wires were bent, cage door fell off and the water bottle it came with leaked.
I do NOT recommend this product to a friend at all! WASTE OF MONEY! :@"

Pros: double locked, two doors
"First I used it for my female ferret with no problems but there wasn't enough room for her to run around as much as she would want to so I had to free range her. After I bought amber a bigger cage, I used it for a bird I was fostering with adding additional perches and things, no problems there eighther, and the bars are perfectly spaced! After I was done fostering the bird, my hamsters cage broke and I put him in there for a few days, but he kept squeezing through the bars with no problem so I had to buy him a new cage. After my hamster moved out of it, I moved my young rabbit into it but he outgrew it once he was full grown, so then I gave it to my friend for her rat and it's absolutely perfect! This cage has so many purposes and lasts very long!"

by BunbunsAndThumper
from new york, ny
Pros: easy to clean, easy to set up Cons: only good for small rabbits
"I got this cage for my pet bunny when she was a baby. now, she grew out of it and we got her a new bigger cage. We past this cage on to our bunny we got a few years later but as he grew, we got bigger and bigger and couldn't strech out more. This cage is good for young and small rabbits. It is really easy to assemble and clean it."

Great Cage!,
July 6, 2009
by piggies
from Delta, PA
Pros: roomy for guinea pig to run Cons: large size may not fit all homes
"I purchased this cage when I got my second guinea pig. I thought it would be big enough for my girls. It is a great cage for smaller guinea pigs, just not big enough for 2 grown guinea pigs after adding all their items. I decided to buy an additional cage for the girls. Now Squeakers and Zoey are loving life. There is so much room to run around. They enjoy doing their laps every evening. They fit perfectly on my rectangular card tables. Close enough to chatter at one another. Use space under card table for their STUFF! :) Cleaning is a breeze. Assembly was under 5 minutes.
I would recommend this cage to anyone with a small pet."

"I love this cage. Its big enough for my guinea to run around in. I originally bought the My First Home large until I realized it wasn't very large, and actually small for my piggie. So I upgraded to this and me and my pig are glad we did."

Pros: quality, price, size
"I have three of theses cages for my three guinea pigs. They are the largest on the market, not overly expensive, and great quality. Two of my cages have been passed down as piggies have passed away, and they still look fairly new! The base is deep enough to prevent flinging of bedding, but low enough for pigs to peek out. I love these cages, and they will be the only ones I will ever buy!"

Room for Two,
March 28, 2009
by PiggieLover23
from Phoenixville, PA
"This cage is the largest cage I've ever seen for guinea pigs. It's large enough for our two sister piggies. They can each have their own Igloo house, or cuddle together in one! And there's plenty of room to run around. I highly recommend this to anyone wanting to house 2 pigs."

"I purchased this for my dwarf rabbit and she loves it. It gives her plenty of room to hop around in and also plenty of room for all of her toys and necessities. It is also very easy to clean. I do highly recommend this cage for guinea pigs or dwarf rabbits. This cage should not be used for a large rabbit however, just smaller rabbits because rabbits require a lot of space!! It is extremely easy to assemble, I highly recommend this product, it is well worth the price!"

Definitely worth the money,
January 18, 2009
by twizzlers
from PA
Pros: plenty of space, deep base so no bedding gets out Cons: little pricey though worth it
"Well, I was considering this cage for my guinea pig before I got her, but I ended up getting something else. But my friend has this for her bunny. He has plenty of room for all his things, and seems very happy. A great home for chinchillas, guinea pigs, smaller breeds of rabbit, and probably a good starter cage for a young ferret too. :) In fact, you might be able to fit larger male rats in here, but I'd be careful of the bar spacing..."

"I just got this cage recently, and love it! I'm a first time guinea pig owner, and this cage has given me great ease. It's east to clean, it only took a few minutes to assemble and it's very roomy. I love the high sides to keep all the bedding in and overall it's great"

A great cage, a must have for small pet owners!,
December 15, 2008
by AnimalLoveratTwilight
from Northern KY
Pros: poo can't get kicked out the sides are high up!, the colors are pretty, really easy to clean! Cons: it's big. if you dont have much room... yeah..., the price is high- but worth it.
"I have two Guinea Pigs, brothers, who use this cage, and it is amazing. With our old cage, the problem we always had was probably the worst thing ever: they always would kick poo and litter out. It was a mess, and it would clog up our vacuums and it was just a pain to deal with!!! But when we were adopting our third guinea pig and he is a dominant male, he needed a different cage. Our two boys lived together, so we bought them a bigger cage--this one. it is amazing!!! They dont kick poo out anymore, and they have so much room!
If you have guinea pigs--multiple or single--or maybe even rabbits, ferrents, rats, etc, this cage is an amazing deal."

Wow, big.,
August 26, 2008
by blvdbutterfly
from Maryland
"This thing is huge. I didnt expect it to be this big. I like it for my guinea pig and it mataches my room. What makes it so big is the wire top. Why does it have to be so high?? My gueina pig isnt gonna be climbing on the cage and I doubt a bunny would jump that high!!! That is what irritates me about this cage. My guinea pig loves it plenty of room for him to run around. I would not reccomend this for multi pigs. Once you put everything in it dosent leave a whole lot of room left but it does leave a good size left enough to run around."

Guinea Pig's New Home,
June 30, 2008
by KristaV
from Jay, NY
"I am so pleased with this cage! The measurements online assisted with making the right choice, from my home. The depth of the tray is great- NO MESS! Our large guinea pig has more than enough room, including a large eco-shack. I paid double the price for another brand years ago- and this one is even better. easy assembly (less than 10 min), easy cleaning, and our pet is SO happy! He has so much room!"

Nice Cage,
June 24, 2008
by passionflwr
from Plymouth Meeting, PA
"This was my rabbits first cage and it really is great. There is a lot of room. I've since put him in a larger cage that I built but this is great for beginners or other small pets as well. My only complaint is the prices that these cages go for! I think it is ridiculous. I am looking to sell mine now since it has been without use for months and I will GLADLY charge less than $60-70. Good quality cage, easy to clean/put together, etc... but I do wish they would realize how ridiculous the price is. You can build a cage for cheaper."
