Cons: One of the hinges was missing. Called the manufacturer and they will be sending the missing hinge. Two of the holes weren't drilled. I had to do it myself (good thing I had a drill bit that size). The cam connectors crumbled when trying to tighten with a screwdriver. The left front leg is slightly warped/twisted. Pros: It looks really nice for a fish tank stand and the storage space comes in handy. It fits my 20 gal. tank perfectly. Nice that I don't block my electric outlet because of the open shelf at the bottom, too!

I really do love this stand. It was purchased as a display model, so luckily I didn't have to fight to put it together. It had some damage done to the corner of it so I got it at half price. I find it to be very sturdy, I have a 60 gallon tank on it and never had any problems with it. It has been set up at my home for 8 months now.

I have had this for 4 years and counting and the wood work is still nice. I absolutely love it. I have it for my 55 Gallon Tank. It holds my fish items in one and my kids school things in another, and miscellaneous in the last. But it is neat and goes with the furniture in my living room. I'd rather this than those cheap metal stands. This makes me feel secure like my tank won't break through or fall over. I also had no trouble putting this together. My husband and I took 30 minutes to put this together with coffee and tea being made. So this is definitely a great buy.

I have purchased 2 of these pieces, 1 20 gal. size and 1 37gal size. And yes, I did have to go buy some extra screws, but for the price point, and the quality of the piece for that price, I'd buy another one. I'm actually looking for the big sized one that they occasionally,(200 gal size), have in stock, to use to put my pet bird cages on, so they'll all match in the room with the fish tanks. I'm particularly impressed with the paint job on these pieces, as it is quite durable, and looks great. And the extra storage behind closed cupboard doors is a great plus.

what a previous reviewer said is right... those cam locks that it comes with are made of some really cheap metal that just crumbles when you try to tighten them, so if you buy this, make sure you go to a hardware store and get some regular metal ones, and u should have no problem... other than that, this thing looks pretty nice and seems pretty sturdy... definitely the most stylish stand i could find in this price range for a 29 gallon tank.

I was so excited when I bought this stand in the store today. It looked very attractive sitting up on the shelf. Unfortunately when I started putting it together, the disaster began. Multiple parts broke as I was putting it together. The holes to attach one of the handles wasn't drilled right so I couldn't assemble one of the handles. Once I got the door attached, the whole thing fell off when I tried to open it because they pre-drill holes right along a seam and it cracks it apart. Believe me, I didn't over tighten. I think overall it's an attractive stand but the parts just don't do it.
Pros: very attractive, easy to assemble
Cons: parts are extremely poor quality

This tank stand is a decent piece of furniture for $100. What kind of quality do you expect for $100. It's just as easy to put together as any other prefab furniture, and it doesn't look like a regular fish tank stand.
Pros: looks like furniture and not an aquarium stand
Cons: the hardware needs to be better quality

We bought this for my step son for Christmas. It would have been a pretty stand, however they did not include any handles. They included plenty of extra hardware, but NO HANDLES.

Whatever you do, DO NOT buy this aquarium stand! It is made with substandard cheap material that crumbles and fall apart while being assembled. The cam locks (type of screw) disintegrate when being tighten, because they are not made out of metal. The black veneer will fall off with ease. Ameriwood Industries demands that the consumer contact them for replacement parts, however it takes weeks to get the parts. If you do buy this stand, and it falls apart, take it back to the place where you purchased it and get your money back right away, because it’s a poorly made piece of junk.

I'm not sure what these other people are complaining about. The item is nice, sturdy and was fairly easy to assemble. It does take a good hour or so to assemble but there is nothing that was confusing. The quality is solid and would easily hold a 20g aquarium. While I'm not 100% in love with the little antique touches they did it by no means looks bad. I think they did that to help with black being scuffed off the corner and edges too easily. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a nice, narrow table that is high enough for smaller tanks.

I was weary about purchasing this product after reading the reviews and very careful about putting it together as to not miss a step. I love it. It is durable and looks great. What else could I ask for? Directions are great and everything lines up well and is a cinch to put together. I did it in about an hour. Well worth the money.

I purchased this stand for my 55 gallon tropical tank and had issues with it right from the get go. The materials used are very cheaply made - laminate covered particle board makes up the majority of the pieces as well as metal screws that snap and break off or strip out with little torque or pressure. Several screws werent even threaded right and so I was short a few. I was also a little surprised that the paint job isnt solid black, but has a brownish paint smeared on the edges as well, which I think is supposed to add some character to the piece but it looks more like what a 3 year old would do. During assembly, one of the metal inserts busted through the particle board and left a gaping hole .The drawer look doors on the front are ok, it takes a bit of patience to get them all lined up properly and adjusted, but considering what a pain it was to assemble already, Im glad they arent real drawers or this thing probably would have ended up going through the front window! Although I really like the way the stand looks, the quality just isnt there and the time and aggrivation spent putting it together was not worth it.

I just bought this stand yesterday. I began putting it together, most of the assembly went smoothly until I tried turn those plastic cam locks. So far 2 of them have broken and disintegrated. Unless the cam locks on this unit can be changed to a sturdier material, I would not recommend buying this item.

After quite some debating on which stand to purchase, I am very satisfied that I have chosen this one! It is very sturdy, very clean and I was amazed that there was not a single scratch or dent. I have a 20 gallon tank but I bought it knowing that eventually I would need a larger one and this will definitely do the job. It's not an eyesore and quite aesthetically pleasing. It goes great with almost any decor. I did have some trouble puttin g the hinges and the doors on but other than that it was pretty easy and didn't take long at all. I am definitely recommending this piece to all.

Ok...I NEVER write reviews...but this one is so bad I have to. The product on display appears ok...until you get it home. Where do I start? Several screw holes were not in the right place, the door hinges were short a screw, ALL of the cam bolts were PLASTIC and disintegrated even when gently turning them, there were chips all over it where the laminate came off. The best part is that you can see places where it was chipped in the factory and they covered it with touch up paint...really not so great when it dripped and clearly ran all the way down the piece. I am amazed at the number of problems with this furniture.

THIS STAND IS VERY STURDY, IT HOLDS MY 30 GALLON MARINE REEF AQUARIUM NO PROBLEM...EVEN WITH 50# OF SAND, 30# LIVE ROCK, AND 45# OF WATER. IT IS BEAUTIFUL TOO IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE AN AQUARIUM STAND AT ALL, IT LOOKS LIKE A PIECE OF FURNITURE. LOTS OF STORAGE IN THE CUPBOARDS. IT'S PERFECT, I COULDN'T BE HAPPIER!

I find the stand is not stable after assambly I am now very reluctant to keep my 5.5 G aquarium on it now due to kids. I purchased this(29/37) thinking I will upgrade to 29G tank. Now I am not sure and I lost the receipt too.
