Works great. It is easy to remove and clean. It extends the main canister filters media and cleaning schedule. It helps clear up cloudy water instantly. It cuts the need to add extra chemicals to water.

Unit is what it says, a pre-filter for your canister filter that catches very large debris such as leaves, gravel, fish, and keeps it from reaching your filter system where it would clog up your canister faster. Also its easily removable so you can clean it quickly. Only con is its about 3" tall and its quite large but you can hide it by surrounding it by plants and substrate and by placing a smooth stone over top making sure not to block it off. Connects perfectly with all eheim filters. Doesn't really effect pump flow at all since its just a coarse plastic mesh.
