Warning: this is not a product for everyday use, and the pad can only be left in for about 10 days before it will completely clog up and not allow any water to pass through.
The upside is it will filter every last piece of dirt (only filters dirt, not chemicals or bacteria) out of your water resulting in crystal clear water. Use if you have muddy or cloudy water that just wont go away, or if you just added a really messy gravel such as Flourite. Use in conjunction with Accu-Clear (or other water clarifier), activated carbon, and a uv sterilizer or Algae-Fix for even clearer water.
Pros: very effective
Cons: doesn't last very long, not reusable

I bought this product to clear up my cloudy tank because it had new tank syndrome and within 10 hours the tank was almost completely clear. After a day it was crystal clear. Great product. I recommend polishing pads for anyone experiencing cloudiness due to new tank syndrome!
