I have had numerous tanks in the past, all glass. This being my first acrylic tank, I was very skeptical. SeaClear tanks were designed in California where earthquakes are prone to damaging tanks; this being said, I lived upstairs in a old apartment with shakey floors, and my current glass tank cracked through the bottom causing a mess downstairs. I purchased this tank over 4 years ago, and have no problems with it since. Its EXTREMELY durable, but will easily scratch when using the wrong srub pad in cleaning algea. I use the magnetic Top Fin Acrylic cleaner....works like a charm! Also, as this tank and all SeaClear tanks are made from acrylic, you will notice a slight bowing in the sides of the tank due to the bending of the acrylic from weight of the water as you fill it...THIS IS NORMAL, and will NOT effect the tank later on down the road. I would recommend SeaClear tanks to ANY fish enthusiast. I have had my Tiger Oscar "Neptune" in this tank since I purchased it, and now he's 10 1/2 inches long and loves it!

Pros: lightweight, extremely durable, seamless (no "glued" corners), high quality construction

Cons: can scratch easily (use proper acrylic scrubber)

Nice aquarium,but the limited access is a small problem.There is no 'hood',just 2 smallish rectangular openings for adding ornaments,gravel ,etc.
I had to return a larger ornament that would not fit through the top and also had to hacksaw a 30 gallon undergravel filter in half in order to get it into the tank.
I did not like the fact that a sealed top is not mentioned in the description,but it is lightweight and looks good.Just be prepared for that and a light that slides around on the top and is not fixed into place also.

Love this tank... was worried about the acrylic material being an old glass tank user. Love how well it handles... the only problem is limited access on top. Though that is probably just due to it being different from what I am used to...
