Finally, a flea killer that works!,

"I have used Frontline Plus for years, only to get frustrated time & time again by the fact that there were still fleas on my cats. I finally realized that in order for Frontline to work, the fleas have to bite the animal--it doesn't affect fleas unless they bite! So, I came online to search for another remedy & saw a lot of satisfaction with Zodiac Flea & Tick spray. I am THRILLED! In a matter of seconds, the dead fleas were dropping off the cats!! I will NEVER buy anything but Zodiac from now on. I recommend this product to anyone with animals! I wish I had discovered this product a long time ago."

Pros: works great, nothing but dead fleas! Cons: nozzle can sound hissy, product may be too strong for small cats
"I have three adult cats. One likes to be indoor/outdoor. Only recently did we discover the flea infestation and that was because they starting biting US. I tried the back of the neck thing, but that didn't work. I think that stuff is probably meant more for prevention than getting rid of. But this Zodiac spray ROCKS! I was skeptical, at first, but ended up totally won over. I used it first on my oldest and worst infested kitty. Wow. Like the other reviewers said, the fleas just FELL OFF her! They were literally RUNNING to get away from where I was spraying. Unfortunately that meant onto her face and into her ears so I had to help her with that. I treated her in the bathtub, which was good, so I could just wash the dead fleas down the drain (use a towel under kitty for traction...she'll be more comfortable). Sunny is such a thankful kittycat now and no more scratching. The only issue we had was on our smallest cat (6lbs, 2 yrs old). She foamed at the mouth for about a half hour after I did it; however she is really high-strung and got so worked up she peepeed as I was treating her, she's just like that. But she is flea free now! Our middle cat did just fine. Not too many on her but she is better nonetheless. Good stuff. Try it. Use it. It works. Doesn't smell too great but it works! A little hint. Pump the trigger gently and slowly. That way the stuff comes out but doesn't make a "hissing" sound that cats get freaked out about. Talk to them quietly and reassure them, all the while spray and comb comb comb. Helps to have another person to assist."

"I have an elderly Yorkie who suffers with severe allergy to any fleabite. Although I keep Frontline Plus on this dog the flea must bite to die and for her that causes a long term fight with severe bloody skin outbreaks. I have found using Zodiac Flea & Tick Spray as directed on the bottle to work amazing well as a repellent to keep fleas from biting her, since Frontline itself does not repel. My vet does not care for the use of systemic topical products; i.e. anything with premertherin due to the Yorkie's age therefore Zodiac was the alternative that worked well for us last summer."

"I have grown up dealing with fleas and ticks. I grew up in the rural area of Texas with a house full of pets from parrots to potbelly pigs. We would spend at least two seperate times during the summer fogging and spraying our house because of sand fleas, so when my two shih tzus came down with a horrible case of fleas I was quick to react. I pulled up the Petsmart website and began doing my research. My husband and I decided we would give Zodiac a try and we were both completely amazed at how fast it worked. I immediatly saw the fleas begin to react to the spray. Like I said I have grown up dealing with fleas and never have I seen something work so fast and so effective as this spray. I went to work the next day and told them if anyone had any fleas issues I knew exactly what they needed. I would very much recommend this product to anyone."

Works on young infested kittens,

"I'm a volunteer with our local humane society and other local animal welfare groups, so I come in contact with a variety of needy animals. I helped rescue some very young kittens who were on the edge of death because they were starving and so flea-infested they were anemic. Since they were so young, our options were limited. The shelter had Zodiac flea spray, so we followed the instructions for young kittens by lightly spraying a towel and wrapping their bodies, leaving their faces open to the air. Quickly the fleas began to fall dying and dead off the kittens onto the towel. Within 15 minutes of the flea treatment and giving a little nutrient milk replacer, their gums pinked up and they regained stamina. They had no negative side effects from the Zodiac treatment and it worked quickly and well."
