I have a Bulldog puppy that was never able to get any milk from the mother. The vet said her chance of survival was 10%. So I took her in from the breeder and have nursed her from a bottle with Esbilac milk replacement powder. She is now 2 weeks old and doing GREAT, getting bigger and stronger everyday!!! No doubt now this babygirl is going to make it to a very happy home. I will always use this brand of milk replacer. It is a little more expensive than some of the other brands but it really is worth it. Know you are putting good quality nutrients into their precious little tummies.
Pros: works great

Stay as close to the puppies mother's milk as possible. Minnie had eclampsia from a deficiency in calcium. While nursing her 5 three week old Chihuahuas, she went into seizures. I made it to the ER Veterinary Hospital without a moment to spare and they were wonderful. Did the blood work, injection and even took a promise to pay. They were awesome! They recommended Esbilac formula but the puppies would not drink it and even more shocking Minnie, who eats and drinks anything, wouldn't drink it either. I called a well known animal rescue center in the area, not only did they advise me to give Minnie chewable human calcium twice a day, which she loves, but Goat milk for her 5 puppies and they sucked it up!. The are all doing wonderfully!
Cons: price, Hard to Administer, Taste, didn't work
