Surprised us - it worked,

"We bought this product and sticky tape the same night. We wanted to keep our cat off various surfaces and also to get her to stop scratching my small but nice bathroom rug. We decided to buy both products because, while I expected the sticky tape to work, I couldn't use it on a rug I step on all the time. And I didn't really expect the spray to work on the other surfaces.
It turns out, the tape was a dud. This spray, however, did the trick. Prior to using the spray, she sat on the rug and used it like a scratching post. Now, while she doesn't completely avoid the rug, she doesn't scratch at it either.
It took two applications total. A memorable moment was seeing her step onto the rug maybe an hour after one application, seeing her crinkle her nose three or four times like 'what IS that foul odor???', and walk off.
If we wanted to keep her off the rug completely, additional sprays might work. I intend to use the spray on our nursery's newly acquired rocking chair next. She's bonding with the chair - hopefully the spray will keep her off completely."

Does Not Work!!,

"I have a Jack Russell and she thinks our sofa is her bed and a place to chew on her bones!! It makes an awful mess! So I tried the No-Stay. At first we used just a small bit and it didn't bother her in the least!! So we used more!! She started to lick it off the sofa, and went to sleep!! I do not recommend this to anyone!!"

Not effective at all,

"I have 6 cats and one dog. We moved to a furnished house and were terrifiied that the cats would scratch the new couches. We didn't want the cats anywhere near the couch, much less sitting on it. We bought this product and tried it as soon as we moved to the new house. We sprayed two towels that we laid on the back and seat of the couch. They totally ignored the repellent and made themselves at home on the towels!"

Works for Me...,

"I read the articles about this company's NO SCRATCH product and while I ordered it as well, I have not had to use it yet. Morning, my recently adopted cat, is a pretty well behaved pet, but we are wrestling over jumping on my desk when I am not around and jumping on the dining room table and kitchen counter during the day. The dining room table was disturbing enough to cause me finally give NO STAY a try..... I sprayed it on an oil cloth flannel-back tablecloth because I did not want to spray anything directly on the wood. She was in timeout while I did the spraying. For the rest of the morning she would not even enter the great room at all. Finally she ventured in and of course jumped right onto the table. She jumped down so fast that she knocked the dining room chair over. She will now occasionally go in the room, which is attached to the kitchen where she eats, but she doesn't hang around much and she hasn't shown any interest in the dining room table since. I have left the tablecloth in place for now and am considering using a small cloth sprayed with NO SPRAY left on my desk during the evenings and one left on the counter when I am at my desk working. Having read the reviews of NO SCRATCH, I see they vary. I think so much of it has to do with the nature of the particular cat involved. Thank goodness for me at least, Morning has a pretty persnickity nose. I just hope she doesn't become 'used to it'. At the very reasonable price of this product, it is definitely worth giving it a try."
