My cat HATES this stuff!!,

"My cat has a horrible habit of clawing up one chair. I sprayed this (4 times a day, as per the instructions on the bottle) and he has stopped completely. He hates it so much he runs away as soon as he sees me holding the bottle."

Utterly useless,

"I would give this no stars if I could. Both my cats (8 years old and 6 months old) were not at all deterred by this product. I let them both sniff the bottle with the cap off, expecting both to back away, but neither seemed the least bit put off. The kitten even licked it - and if it had any taste, he didn't react. I've sprayed our sofa corners thoroughly and repeatedly. I might as well be using water, as scratching is proceeding unabated. I will be attempting to return this to PetSmart, as I am completely dissatisfied."

"We've had to use this product twice. The first time was in our apartment when our cat was tearing up a section of the carpet in the bedroom. We applied this product daily and he wouldn't go near the area. The second time was when we were getting ready to move from our home. Our cat decided to try to claw up a section of the stairs. We applied this, again daily, and the clawing at the carpet stopped. We never noticed a smell (And I have the nose of a bloodhound) however our cats seemed to notice it. When we applied the product they sniffed it out and ran the other way. I'd definitely recommend this!"

"I tried this product when upgrading from junky college furniture to nice stuff. It worked really well on the new stuff...no scratch marks after six months. However, the product didn't really help on the old stuff that the cats were accustomed to scratching. Maybe the product only works well if the cats haven't already developed a bad habit with a certain piece of furniture."

"After spraying this product on furniture and rugs, we haven't noticed one bit of difference in our cats behaviour. Immediately after we sprayed it on a rug, the cats became curious and came over gave it a smell and then layed down right on the freshly sprayed rug!
After a fine nap, one of them woke up and began scratching.
Totally worthless product indeed!
This product should be taken off the shelves with as many bad reviews as it has received."

"Quite possibly the worst repellent next to tuna in a can. We went from a very light spray all the way up to heavy enough to see wetness. We have 2 cats. I used a test chair to see if they would stay off just the one. They ended up taking a nap on it. Ive seen them lick the fabric I sprayed as well. I would have to say, unless they are mutant kitties, this product is all but worthless. I would look into something else."

"We tried this to keep the cats from scratching the living room furniture. We sprayed several times and it didn't seem to make a bit of difference. The final blow came after the bottle was knocked off an end table - the bottle cracked (it's very brittle plastic) and all of the contents spilled out on a floor mat. I didn't see it until the next day - as I was examining the floor mat, one of the cats came over to investigate. She sniffed all around the mat and it didn't seem to faze her - probably more than half a bottle's worth and it still didn't have an effect! We've had much better luck with the double-sided tape."

"When I first found this product I thought it would keep my cat off my furniture. It doesn't. But, after using it consistently, I have noticed that he doesn't interact with the sprayed objects with his mouth.
So if there is something your cat it chewing, this might be helpful."

"I would not recommend this product to my worst enemies with kittens. I have a 5 month old kitten, I thought I was not using the product correctley at first. After purchasing a second time; read direction completely and it still does not keep my kitten away no matter how much I spray or how often I spray."

"I've got three cats that are all over 3 years old. i got new furniture and attempted to train them not to scratch it. this spray did absolutely nothing. Perhaps it would work if they were kittens."

"Pet Organics No-Scratch is definately a product part of my overall training for my two cats. All cats naturally scratch, so I made sure they had their own cat scratching surfaces and used this product on "no cats allowed to scratch here" areas they had favored for scratching. I also noticed they want to scratch 'everything' when their nails are too long, so I keep their nails trimmed. Every once in awhile I still need to use this product to remind them of their rules. It works!"
