Pooch Pads are absorbent, odor-controlling pads that are ideal for use with puppies, older or incontinent dogs or dogs left home alone. Also great for the whelping box.

These Pooch Pads are great!,
June 19, 2007
by tiggerrocks57

"I used to use disposable pads for my chihuahua, but not since I tried Pooch Pads! These washable pads do not leak! They wash up easily in the washing machine, don't smell, and so far, don't stain either. They are worth every penny I paid for them - they've already more than paid for themselves compared to what I would have spent in disposables! I only discovered them a few weeks ago, but they quickly proved themselves worth it to me!"

poochie pads are fantastic,
February 23, 2010

Pros: no odor or soaking easy to clean
"After reading the reviews I purchased 2 of the small size poochie pads for our new pekingese. She was 8 weeks old when we got her and she immediately took to them. There was no training really involved she just seemed to know what to do. Amazing. We have a pad at each end of the house. They are not unsightly and so easy to clean. Also no odor or soaking thru to carpet. Our veterinarian said this might confuse her, but she is also trained to go outside. She mainly uses the pads if we are away from the house for awhile or when the weather is extremely bad. We also take the pads with us when we travel to family out of town or hotels. This product is fantastic!!!"

Best Money We've Spent!,
September 8, 2009
by ChunkyMonkeyDunkeyDoo

Pros: works as intended, quickly pays for itself, less stinky than disposable puppy pads, saves flooring from getting soaked
"We have a 45 lb-ish Pit Bull Mix who potties indoors (she refuses to go outside...yes, she's weird!) and I don't know what we'd do without these! They're great! The big size is plenty big for her and they're really absorbent. Typically, she can potty a whole day before I have to change the pad out (we bought three, so I rotate them out to wash) as long as I pick up the #2s. We've had our pads for about a year now and they still work great! They control the smell better than the disposable ones, plus we've never had a problem with leaking (now, if she goes several times in the same area, it will eventually kinda soak through and leave a damp spot, but we've got her pads on the lineolium, so it's just a Clorox wipe to fix) but then again, she's HUGE! These also don't seem to slide around like the disposable ones too, plus, even though they're a bit pricey initally, the pay for themselves a hundred times over in a flash! We wash ours in the washing machine on the Heavy cycle with laundry soap and bleah and they clean right up! I also dry them in the dryer (two for like 10 minutes or so is plenty) and I haven't had a problem with shrinking or fraying- these things are built to last! We also have cats and they don't bother these at all, they even lay on them if I've just taken them out of the dryer! Chunky even had a bout of the squirts recently and oh goodness it was an awful mess! I could literally only wad up the puppy pad and stick it in the wash, hoping for the best and lo and behold, when I went to see if all of the messy had washed out, it had! Not a stain or a foul smell on it! All in all, we give it two paws up!"

Wonderful product!,

Pros: a product that works as advertised!
"I saw these on the website and was so impressed with the reviews, I had to try them for our little maltese mix, Cricket. She, like so many little dogs, doesn't like to go outside in cold or rainy weather. She has done a great job using the paper ones, but as we all know, they are expensive.
At first, Cricket wasn't sure about them. We put them out beside and/or under a paper one and eventually we were able to stop with the paper ones. For those making a change like we did - be patient! It might take a couple of weeks.
We have two medium sized ones and we are very impressed with them. Having two pads is almost a must! They are so easy to wash and they air dry quickly. They are well worth the cost."

Love these things,

"These pads do exactly what they are supposed to do. I had a problem with one of my pups shredding and eating the disposable pads and it was not fun to find the little blue plastic in her poo. I wondered what that could be doing to her poor digestive track and sought out a better way for her to relieve herself while I was not home. I stumbled across these pads will never go back. My dad's 13 year old Sheltie was having leakage issues and my mom didn't allow her to be in the house anymore. I gave him two of the XL pads for her and she has been back to being a part of the family again. Whenever a friend gets a new dog I give them a set and they thank me for the amazing product and are amazed at how much better they work than the disposable pads. A great product for dogs of all ages and it is nice for older dogs to lie on to prevent accidents when they aren't able to control their bladders."

Pretty good!,

"I saw the great reviews online for this product and I knew I just had to try it. I ordered 2 of the 2-packs for a total of 4 small pads. My dog had no problem with the switch from his old paper pads to these. These are great because they do not leak through the way regular pads do. However, the instructions don't clarify how often these need to be washed. I have 2 pads out for my dog and I wash them about every 3 days. The odor protection only really works the first day, after that it does start to smell. I don't have a washer and dryer so I took the advice of the other reviewer and I soak them in a bucket with detergent and about 2 or 3 small capfuls of bleach. It is a pain to have to wach these without a washer but at least they don't leak like regular pads, they are better for the environment (:-)) and they save some $."

Go Green!!,

"I bought this pad right after I got my 2 new Sheltie pups. It absorbs well, but i'm not sure about the effectiveness to reduce odor. the price is a bit steep but it still save you a lot of money rather than buying a disposable pads. I bought the small one when my pups only 1 month old, than now they're 4 months old and the pad is too small for 2 of them, so I bought the biggest one. I placed the pads on my balcony where I trained my pups to do their business there, because I still love in apt and I can't take them to go outside every time because of the exteremel hot weather here in Houston. It also easy to clean too! Highly recommended!!"

I finally clued in!!,
April 1, 2008

"I have only just "discovered" these - browsing the site a couple of weeks ago. Bought a two-pack of the large size for my two Yorkies at my local PetSmart store (I'm in Canada so, although they cost more, there is no shipping fee if you have a store close by). I wish I had had these last summer. My youngest Yorkie was very sick and we went through many boxes of puppy pads in a relatively short time.
Even under normal circumstances, I can see where this product will pay for itself in about a month. My two DO go outside a few times a day but, during the winter or rainy weather, they more often go to their pad. (William doesn't like to get his feet wet!!) In any event, they both got used to the new pad very quickly and, you're absolutely right - no odour and SO easy to wash. I followed the tip of the doggie person-reviewer - plastic bucket, soapy water, and a tablespoonful of bleach. Hung the pad to dry and it was fine in about four hours. I'm totally happy with this purchase and would highly recommend the product."

The money you save makes it worth it!,
August 13, 2007
by TheyreSoSpoiled

"I have been using a Pooch Pad for my chihuahua for a few years now, and it's just recently been starting to show wear. Mostly it doesn't control odor like it used to. I think the new kind is different than the one I have, (I have the kind with the bottom blue layer, and a Pooch Pad design on the top) but I'm sure they work just as well! I use the pad in conjunction with a Second Nature dog litter pan and it works great. I feel it's a bit more sanitary, and it gives the dog her own little potty area. I was a little squeamish at the idea of washing it in my washer where all my clothes get washed, but adding the bleach truly does get it absolutely clean and germ free. The cost of disposable puppy pads adds up fast, (and my dog is very submissive so she won't go on the pheromone scented pads) so this ends up paying for itself fast with the money you save not buying those! This is totally worth the initial cost and I'd recommend it to anyone."

pooch pads,

"We just adopted a blind Maltese that was not housebroken. Since I had to cover large areas with disposable pads, I was using about 5 to 7 a day. Luckily I saw all the great reviews and decided to try the reusable ones. They are fantastic!!! I bought two of the largest ones I could find then went back and bought two more . They absorb great and do not smell. They are treated with an antimicrobial. You can machine wash themand dry them. We travel often so I wash them in a plastic bucket with liquid detergent and a tablespoon of bleach and drip dry them. They are dry overnight. I am really very pleased with the pads. I have found even when the dog wets at the edge it does not leak over. It was money well spent."

What a life saver!,

"I have 3 yorkies and I also breed them. There are times I have 10 puppies in the house at a time, I use these pads all the time. It is so easy to train our puppies to go on them, they hold up so well. I wash them 2x's per day and have had them for 3 years now. They have been worth their price over and over. I recommend them to everyone that purchases our dogs. Even after 3 years and all the washing they still hold up and do their job. I wouldn't leave home without one being down just incase of that accident!"

"I have a 50 lb. shepherd mix who still has some housebreaking issues. She was an abused rescue who I doubt was ever trained. I was spending a fortune in puppy pads until I found these. I bought four and use them two at a time. She took to them immediately. They wash and dry easily and if they can hold up for a 50 pound dog, that is impressive. I have not had the leakage or "missing" problems I had with disposable pads. She doesn't shred them or drag them around the house. I thought the initial investment was high, but has turned out to be well worth it! A truly great product!"

A Tremendous Help for me and my dog,
March 28, 2007

"Dakota is going to be 15 years old in a couple of months, and he is having a few incontinence issues. These pads are wonderful! I no longer have to worry about my carpet getting stained. The pads wash beautifully and dry in a very short time. I bought two pads so I would always have a clean one. I highly recommend these pads."

Reusable Pooch Pads,

"I've been using these pads for my small dog for 3 years now and I love them. Cody goes straight to them and does not go anywhere else in the house. They say 300 washes but since I've bought 3 of them I've had them for two years and am now purchasing another three because they are finally worn down. I will continue to buy these as long as they sell them."

Not just for dogs,
February 27, 2007
by Poppins

"I first got these two years ago when my ferrets became too ill to use their litterbox. Now I use them for my 17-year old cat who doesn't always want to go in her box. The washables are much better than the disposables that she would just bunch up and move out of her way before "doing business" on my wood floor or in the bathtub. The pad that I bought first is showing signs of wear, finally. The stitching around the edges has come out, the pad is stained and has lost its "finish," but although the pad isn't in mint condition anymore, it still works. I do wish that the pads were bigger, but using a few together and letting them overlap catches most "runoff," especially when I weight them down with a litterbox or something."

"I used to buy the disposable 1 use wee-wee pads but the bills started to rack up. These are a life saver and have been using them ever since. I bought my little guys 4 (thanks to the dual packages now too) so I would never be without a fresh spare. They are thick, durable, reliable and the life expectancy is a bit longer than what is stated on the package. The large versions were once sold in stores but I haven't seen them around lately. Can someone bring them back please?"

I Love These Pads!!,
November 14, 2006
by Parisjanis
from Monroe, North Carolina
"I have a Pom, 2 Chihuahuas and a new Yorkie and I work. Since they are small and I work long hours, they sometimes have accidents. These pads are great. I've got 4 now and my dogs love them!! They are so easy to use, you can just pick up and empty in the toilet and then wash. I also put them in the dryer without any damage. I have one that I've had for approximately 4 years and I'm still using it. They last a long time. I would highly recommend and wouldn't be without. My only complaint is that the new one are not as thick as the old ones. My old one has been washed at least 500 times and it is still thicker than the new ones. BUT, I would still buy again. In fact, I just got my 2 new ones this week. Moe, Antonio, Sammy, Wiley and I thank you for this terrific product. We all love PetSmart."

Love these,
September 1, 2006

"I have 4 wewe pads so I can wash 2 at a time. I've had them for 2 years now and they are still as wonderful as the day they were first used. My cockapoo is completely housebroken and loves to use them. I clean them once a day, maybe every other day if the weather is good and I can walk him. To clense, I use HOT water with a non-bleach tide plus I add a small splash of bleach - but no more than 1 Tblsp. They have no faint odor of urine or anything; they are spotlessly clean and are still equally absorbant as new. They are a little faded, but who cares. The only problem is, I can never find them in a PetSmart store, they seem to always be out and the sales help say they are not getting anymore. Product good, store help bad, but you didn't ask me to rate the store or product availability, so 5 stars for the product itself."
