I was hesitant to buy this dryer as I have read lots of bad reviews for this dryer. However, being that Petsmart has a good return policy, I thought I'd give it a try. I have two Maine Coons and it made it so much easier to dry them. The heat was at a good temperature that they actually enjoyed being dried. Love the hands free. The noise level is good although I am not sure if I had it at the highest setting. Regardless, the setting I had it on is less quieter than our hair dryers. It's perfect for cats.

It's a nice, quiet dryer. I have used it for my own hair. However, for my dog, it's not hands free just because it has a stand--in order to get enough wind force for my thick-haired Shih-Tzu, I have to use the high setting. But the high setting is much too hot. So I use the high setting with my finger on the cool air button, which means I cannot have the dryer do its thing while I brush and work with the dog. If I want to take forever, I CAN use it on the stand on a low setting that has very weak wind force. I'm disappointed that its settings are just like people settings, therefore too hot for a dog.
