"The door works OK, but it was a pain it install - their dimensions were off by a 1/4". It works ok for the cats though. They can go in and out and when I close the door for the evening, they are in - they scratch and try to open it, but can't. It does work well that way. It would be nice if it was better insulated - plastic doesn't cut it."

"I don't understand what all the negative comments are about???!!! My door works great! I made a 3/8" plywood panel that mounts in place of one of our basement windows, and then mounted the door on this panel. I used their "cat condo" (climbing scratching thing) unit with its upper perches to allow them to get up to and down from the door. The 4-way lock works very easily and as advertised. We had a wind storm that blew out the interior side half, but the piece snapped easily back into place. The 4-way lock is great for when they're out, and you need them to stay in when they come back in (like when you need to get them to the vet or cat hotel). I recommend this product highly!!!:D"

"The tunnel sold with the door isn't long enough to go through an external wall, so you need to spend more on extra segments-if-you can find them. The tunnel does not connect to the "female" end of the door, instead it just sits in the hole leaving an unfinished and rough appearance. Unfortunatly for me I was lazy about opening the box long enough that I have lost my receipt. I guess this goes straight into the trash."

This Product is absolutely terrible,

"I have 2 cats. Both are under 9 months old one weighs about 7 pounds and the other 5. This product has been unable to do its job since the first time I used it. Now it has been rendered useless, since this time they decided to break the flap completely off of it. Very cheaply made considering I paid $40 for it. I am going to return it ASAP!!!!!!!!"

Doesn't Work -Don't buy it,

"This product does not work! Our cats scratch at it until they get out of the basement by pushing the door/flap past the 4 way plastic stopper. Once the cats are out they are unable to get back into the basement because the plastic stopper prevents this. The product is totally useless to us. We contacted the company and they refuse to do anything about it. Their only comment is to buy their higher end product. We might try it if they would reimburse us for this useless one."

We returned home and they were in the house!,

"We went away for a few days and when we returned the cats were in the house. We had used the locking mechanism on the cat door to keep them out (garage) where their food, water and litter box are while we were gone. They messed with it until they got it open and could get in...only problem with that is the way it opened they couldn't get back out...It really smelled really bad IN THE HOUSE after that. Now they have actually broken the plastic door."
