I love this litter pan, I have two small small ones for my lion heads and one large one for my English Lop. These litter boxs are great! The wire does start to rust but as long as you wipe down the wire every day or so, the paint will last longer. Another thing to do is clean it daily, as it will start to smell like any litter box would.
Pros: easy to clean

I took the grid out so my guinea pigs wouldn't get bumble foot........ but I put their hay it there and from what I can tell they have been using it. (Two different cages)
Pros: eliminates odor, low dust, easy to clean

We purchased two of these litter pans a while back. They fastened to the cage by attaching a screw-on clip onto the cage, then the pan slipped onto the clips to be held in place. It worked beautifully! We later went back to Petsmart to purchase two more of them for the other cage. The pans now had a molded clip on the edge of the litter pan to attach it to the cage. We bought one to try it. We were VERY unhappy with it. The plastic clips were flimsy and they didn't stay attached to the wires. We can't even use the grate as an extra because they also redesigned the pan to be more elongated. Very poor product development. If it ain't broke, DON'T FIX IT!

I purchased this pan in hopes to potty train my piggy. I would still like to try to potty train him, but currently this is just a poopoo scoop box. Since I have fleece instead of shavings, it is easy to just scoop up his little poopoos and dispense them into the litter pan. It keeps his cage looking clean. I do not use litter, I use regular cage shavings. When he does peepee in his box, the shavings do a fine job of soaking up the moisture. I have not ran into any rust issues with the grate yet. I spray it to keep it smelling fresh every couple of days.

We have a white bun, who also likes to dig, so I have a gridded box for him and was looking for a replacement (it's just getting too icky to keep clean after a year) and hopefully a bit larger. We were psyched when we saw this larger one in the store last visit.
I have no idea how we didn't notice the strong powder scent before we left the store… Perhaps it took washing it before getting ready to use it with our bunny to release the odors? Whatever it was, it absolutely reeks of powder scent… I sat it outside and it *still* smells… I would *love* the large size to give our bun a bit more room over his current Ware one, and am hopeful that there may be one like this that doesn't stink as it says the scent is an availability (and hopefully not a requirement).
The box we have would be given one-star as I'm going to have to donate it and hope a shelter can get some use of it, but as I would adore it otherwise and am SO hoping there's this size that isn't scented, I gave it three.

This item is the best product. My rabbit took to it right away and it is the perfect size for him (large one) To make clean up easier, I use a liner in the pan, then I put a layer of odor absorbing cat liter, followed by a layer of wood shavings. Then the grate goes on top. I clean it out once a week. My fuzzy lopps lives in a large 2x4x3(H) puppy pen with this litter box in one corner. He still has room to run around and play! I just wish they sold replacement wire tops, since mine is rusting. I am getting ready to buy a new one since it is already 4 years old! I know you will be happy with this litter box and so will your bunny!

I love this litter box for my 2 lop ear bunnies. I have been training them for a little over 2 week and they have got it down. Yay! I love that their feet are always clean!!!! Such an awesome factor, because rabbit urine smells so gross. I'm actually going tomorrow to get another one, so each of my bunnies can have their own box. My bunnies, love to sit on the rack and play with the paper litter after I change it. I would definitely recommend this box to anyone.

This is exactly what I needed to let my rabbits loose in the house. They will urinate in the litterbox only, and since it has a grate, they always have clean feet. No discoloring on the fur from jumping into a gross litter box. I don't use any kind of litter, just dump contents outside on a flower bed daily, put a little white vinegar in the bottom to get rid of the calcium build up, rinse it, and put back in the cage.
The metal does rust unfortunately, but it's worth it. I'm going to repaint the grates this summer with a $3 can of spray paint.
I would recommend adding just a tiny bit of apple cider vinegar to their drinking water. It takes a few weeks, but the smell from the urine (the box itself doesn't stink anyway) is almost totally gone.

I don't have any problems with this potty except for some rust. Its metal with powder coat so yeah its eventually going to rust. Some sort of paint can fix that. My bunny isn't destructive so this is ok for him. A destructive animal is going to tear up anything it can. It keeps his feet cleaner than one without a screen. If the screen was plastic a large bunny would break it over time. Its a good potty for a well behaved bun.

I saw this product in a store and got it for my two rabbits. They used it for a few days, but they soon began to play with it and chew on it. Within days, they had figured out how to take of the plastic and metal screen, and then they figured out how to detach it from the wall. Now all they do is drag it around their cage. Everyday i hang it back on the hooks, but it always ends up in the middle of the cage, usually upside down.

The metal rack on top of the litter pan keeps my bunny's feet white and clean. He uses his pan daily and usually sits it in when he eats so i keep the food/water bowl in front it (goes to the bathroom at the same time). My bunny uses his litter pan & i highly recommend this!!

My bunny easily pulled off the white plastic strip that clips on to the front of the potty to keep the screen in place. Just as easily, she removed the screen. Then she kind of sat there with a smug look on her face.
There is another pan available without the screen and clip. Had I known that Freckles would defeat the "scatterless" elements that easily, I could have saved a few bucks by buying the cheaper one.

Well got this for a dwarf rabbit and she is okay with it but only goes there to do buisness. She wont even chill in there like most rabbits do. I like it because it keeps her more sanitary by her not in her waste. Also after awhile urine builds up on the bars and also rusts. I regret my decision. If you have a larger bun and get the bigger size one (the one i bought for my dwarf to have room) it still might just be a little too small... :((
Pros: helps keep rabbit from digging, keeps them out of waste
Cons: can rust or have urine build up

You can see it in the bottom left corner of the cage I built.
I've had this for 3 years now. I've bought two of them and both have rusted through. My rabbit never had a problem with using it. I bought it because she would dig in her nasty litter. Now she can't and she can't even remove it from the side of the cage thanks to the clips.
I use cat litter and making soda in this litter box since the rabbits cannot get to it. It helps control oder without me having to worry about Bella eating some cat litter.
I just don't like how it rusts and looks gross after a year or so. It only gets worse, but I'd buy another one anyway.
Pros: easy to clean, attractive, rabbit proof
Cons: rusts

I rescued a bunny rabbit and bought this litter box and I put her hay in it and she does her thing and eats at the same time. When I see stuff on top I put more hay on top. I bought a bale of hay at the feed store, and she loves it more than the hay I bought in bags. The hay works great and I don't use the rack. I want to buy the same exact one so I can put one in her cage immediately while I clean one. I would recommend it. She is really neat with it and no mess.

Great product, but...

This litterbox is great for bunnies. First, it fits into the corner - most bunnies pick a corner spot for elimination. Second, it has the grate which keeps bunny out of the mess. So you have a clean and happy bunny! My only complaint is that one year in, our grate is rusting through. I could probably paint it or something, but I'm just buying a new one. I'm getting the same product, because the bun loves it and so do I - but I wish it were rust-proof.
Pros: keeps bunny clean, fits into a corner
Cons: rusting
