I got a couple for my 10 gal tanks and I recommend the medium size for the 10 gal tanks. Works good the only thing is the tape once you use it and remove it most of the time it will not stick again so you will need some ductape. Overall it is a great product really a must have and does a great job heating up the tank and providing that belly heat.

This product does its job very well! I bought this a few months ago for my 15 gallon leopard gecko tank. It stuck well under the tank and hasn't came lose once. It heats her sand and warm hides up perfectly. Leo's need belly heat, so this is a perfect product for them. I recommend!! Soon ill be buying another when I transfer her to a 40 gallon.

This is a good heat pad overall, but I had many problems with getting it to stick to the bottom of my hermit crab tank. It ended up taking LOADS of ductape and lots of time just to keep this pad from falling off the bottom every day. But if you can make it through this little obstacle, the product is overall great and keeps the tank pretty warm.

This product is amazing! It's just a little pricey. The heat that it emits is perfect for reptiles and is not to hot for furniture. But all in all great buy and it last even if it loses its stickiness you can hot glue it or tape it. Surprisingly it won't melt. Must buy for reptile keepers.

I have the 40 Gallon UTH that I bought when I got my Ball Python. It is the dead of winter and I am scared to death for her now. It did it's job excellently while it worked, and for no reason it has broken. My snake needs that hot side UTH to live. It's past warranty, it's snowing and in the upper 20's outside. I give it an excellent review because it worked beautifully, but I am terrified of how long they last. I already cannot afford much, and I need, SHE needs this to live! Please people: make CERTAIN you buy other/backup sources of heat for your pets! Baby Cleo is stuck with only 75F last time I checked on her HOT side! She needs 85F-90F+ on her hot side! The cold side is the only space supposed to be that low!

I had fpund and rescued a snake, that had appeared to be hit with a shovel, so i took her in, and this was one of the many things i had bought for her. It heats up fast, and doesnt "overheat" like others i have had in the past (used to have snakes) and she likes it.

I got the mini size for my baby leopard gecko in a 2.5 gallon tank, and it doesn't get warm enough. I also have the 10-20 gallon sized one (small?) for my other leopard gecko and it works great as long as I have it plugged into a thermostat. If you don't use a thermostat it gets to about 110 degrees which is too hot. I recommend the product as long as you use a thermostat with it.

This "Heat pad" is absolutely useless and a complete waste of money. On the package it says to wait at least 6 hours but it does not matter wait as long as you like it will not do anything. At the absolute most it might raise your tanks temp by 1 degree.

I got this heating mat for my leopard gecko. To my amazement, it gets so hot, the heat will go right through the glass and my reptile carpet. Best heating mat there is, and would recommend it to anyone who needs an extra medium amount of heat!

So i have a leopard gecko and during the winter i use a heat bulb and a day bulb during the day, but just a heat bulb at night. I was only getting 76 degrees over night one night so i needed something to bring it up to 83 or so. I bought this because of the reviews and it works just fine. Last night it was in the 80s and today with my bulbs and the heater it is in the 90s which is perfect for a gecko. so, if you are using this as a primary heat source and you want temperature in the 80-90s i would not recomend it, but i would for those in the 70s. It basicly raises the temp 5-10 degrees.

This heat pad works best when doubled up with a heat lamp, but have found that it creates a really nice heat gradient. Near the pad it will raise the heat about 4 degrees over room temperature and the other side of the tank will be around room temperature. Although it depends on your substrate, In my opinion using the pad on the side of the tank rather then underneath it works best. The product is easy to use, the only problem with it is that once you apply it to your tank you can't take it off with out ruining it.

Before using this product i was using a heating bulb to warm my leopard geckos tank. Although the heating bulb gets the tank hot they wont eat because they need stomach heat to help diguest their food. Now my leo lays out and warms on top of where the mat is placed and will eat. Do not use a bulb! good luck.

I had been using the same Repti Therm U.T.H unit, 10-20 gallon, for over 5 years until I MISTAKENLY believed that it had finally died tonight and threw it out!
Turns out that it was the OUTLET that had malfunctioned! NOT THE UNIT! Or it would Still be doing its impersonation of the "Energizer Bunny"!
That thing just wouldn't quit, and it stayed hot without getting too hot. My leopard geckos loved that old thing.
Now I've stuck on a brand new one that I luckily just had lying around in a box. Hope this one lasts me another 5+ years!

I bought the mini 4x5 in. UTH to see if it was better than a heat lamp and a basking combo pack. I have a juvy leopard gecko from Petsmart and a 10 gallon also from petsmart. I stuck it on the warm side under his favorite hide, and it barely heated the floor. I might try the 6x8 in. one to see if it is any better.
Pros: easy to apply to terrarium, great instructions
Cons: pricey, provides little warmth

This product works great! It keeps the substrate warm and keeps the terrarium humid. As long as your house is warm in the winter (70-75) it wont get to cold. Over all it works great for my pacman and I would recommend this to anyone who has a pet that needs warm substrate.
Pros: does not burn pet, keeps substrate warm, helps maintain humidity levels
