I love this wood! I love the holes in the wood . I have 7 hermit crabs and they are constantly on it , the holes let them grip on to it . one of my hermies likes to just hang upside down on it!
definetly love this wood , only type of wood in my tank

I agree with the reviewer about the more than sufficient size of wood, it is rather massive for the price. PetSmart has a great selection of them so you won't be disappointed and you won't really find such beautiful pieces anywhere else for the price. Can't wait till soaking is done so i can add it to my 15 gallon column. Happy Shopping!!
I got the medium size for my crabs. They love it they climb on it every day . Its a beautiful piece of wood. I have had no problems with it.

I'm not really sure what's up with one of the other reviews here complaining about the size of a "medium" piece of ZooMed mopani wood. I've had good luck with several of the PetSmart stores here in Las Vegas - the so-called "medium" pieces of mopani wood I've purchased for $9.99 were ALL about the size of dinner plates in diameter (approx 10"dia) and varying from 5"-7" in height.
I have two 60gal tanks and my daughter has a 30gal in her room, all of which have several pieces of the mopani wood in them for our fish. Since she has purchased almost everything from her allowance (she found her aquarium for $75 on Craigslist!!!) she knows a good bargain when she sees it and isn't afraid to tell me. ;-)
One thing I would suggest is spending the extra few dollars for the "medium" pieces instead of the "small" size. If you want several small pieces of wood to decorate the bottom of your tank, you simply break or cut the wood into manageable pieces. It doesn't make sense to spend a few $$$ less for significantly smaller pieces.
Pros: stylish, sturdy

I thought this would be an awesome product for my beardie! But it wasn't i got down to petsmart and they wanted $9 for a piece of wood the size of the palm of my hand!!!! It's nothing like it is in the pictures so I don't know why people are giving it five stars?????? Just don't buy from ZooMed!!! Everything they make is cheaply made and they want a fourtine for it!!!! I don't think Petsmart should buy their products some are good but some are just horrible!!!! I got 3 bulbs from Zoo Med and they all burned out witin' 4 hrs.
Pros: stylish
Cons: price, low quality

mine looks nothing like the pixcture but this is the best it absorbs moistur too but the bark sorta say peels of easy
I am using my mopani branch as habitat for my pet mantis. It looks nice in there and provides a place for crickets to hide. This is definitely better than anything I could find outside here in Iowa.
Pros: nice looking piece of mopani, gives habitats a natural look and feel, it will sink in an aquarium

This wood is perfect for aquariums! It's pretty and it sinks rite away instead of floating like driftwood. mine is stunningly beautiful with lots of holes to put my java ferns in! It's got lots of character and it stains the water a nice brown color.
Pros: pretty, sinks, lots of holes
Cons: stains water brown

this is great for fish and reptiles, but be carful not to buy a dark wood because it can turn your water brown! this type however, dose not.
