At first, I really wasn't sure what my box turtles (1 year old) were going to think of this turtle bone because it's so big and they normally don't show interest in anything but their food. I cut off a small piece and put it in their water dish. They loved it! They take small bites out of it and play with it. It has also kept my biggest turtle from trying to eat the wood chips in his cage. Overall a really great product.
Pros: easy to administer, works great, price

I give this to my marginated tortoise, Tilly, and she loves chewing on it; she treats it like a toy. I feel good knowing she is getting the extra calcium that she needs while still enjoying herself. She usually devours one bone in about 2 weeks. I still can't get over that cuttlebone comes from squid...
Pros: works great, easy to administer

I bought this product for my red eared slider and he likes it. He bites it for a while but then loses interest in it. It looks easy to eat and he breaks off little pieces well. It's loaded with calcium that is necessary for growing turtles.

The product itself is fine, but the bird cuttlebones are the exact same thing. You may as well save a buck or two and get those instead.

It works pretty good, I have a red eared slider that is constantly chewing on things (thermometer, turtle dock, rocks) I had to break about a 3 inch chunk off for her, she plays with it and nips at it. I feel better about her biting this then other things in her home.

Great source of calcium

I needed to get my turtle an increased source of calcium to help prevent what looked like the beginnings of minor shell rot. I tried calcium powder added to food, but did not adhere even after soaking in water prior to feeding. My turtle loved this product and his shell is back to looking more healthy. Not only did he enjoy eating it, but since it floats well, it made for a good toy to play with. I highly recommend this product.

I bought this product thinking it would work but it didn't. All my turtle would do is look at it and run away. The bones are huge but aren't worth 3 bucks.
