First off, mine arrived defective and the first shipment looked like it had been opened prior to shipping so there were additional hoops to jump through. Petsmart was pretty good about working with me.
Once I had a working one though I found it very tedious to setup the temp. This device has a dial with no temperatures listed, just a range of colors. I played with it to find the point where it turned off at room temp about 75 degrees then worked with it to adjust to the 84-85 I wanted. After a whole day of checking the temps with a separate thermostat and trying to tweak this one, I gave up and looked for a different product. With little effort I found 2 others for a similar price. One of which was technically not designed for reptiles, and was all digital.
This does work fine, but really would be better for reptiles that can deal with a large range of temps and in a room with fairly stable temps as well. Also realize you will spend a lot of time dialing it in and MUST have a separate probe thermometer.
Pros: inexpensive
Cons: no tempature settings, no thermostat built in, very difficult to dial into the right temps, allowed tempatures to get too high for my reptile

If you really care for your reptile and use any kind of heating device buy this and be worry free. Just plug your heating device into it and place the probe in the proper place and you will be able to better control the temp in your reptiles habitat.

I just love mine. So much I have two of them. They work great for the price. Just make sure you get a thermometer to go with it.
