I have used this brand of mulch substrate for two years in my Russian Tortoise's tortoise table. It looks great, it smells great, it is easy to clean, and my tortoise can easily walk on it and burrow down into it.
In the two years I've used this brand, I haven't had any issues with it. However, keep an eye on your tortoise (or any other reptile) to make sure they don't consume it. If consumed in large amounts it can cause damage just like any other substrate can.
Pros: looks great, easy to clean

I recently bought this bedding for my Green Tree Frog. I looked into this product several times before buying and found it to be “frog approved”. Unfortunately this product seemed to be just wood-chips. This bedding irritates my frog. When he catches his crickets he also gets a mouth-full of wood-chips. He spends more time trying to get the wood out of his mouth then actually eating his food. I replaced this product immediately with coconut husk bedding, and so far my frog has enjoyed it. I would not recommend this product for any sort of Tree Frog.
Pros: looks great
Cons: messy

I bought this based on the other two reviews for my hermit crabs.
Its a lot more "wood chippish" then i thought it would be. Hard to tell from the picture online. Its rough on your hands when putting it in but the crabs seems to be doing well with it.
They burrow in it rather well so no complaints there. Looking to see how it holds up. Usually use jungle bark and after my two bags of this are gone i'll be going back to that. Nothing to write home about here except the price.

After trying out several brands of mulch for my Russian Tortoise, this is by far the best. It is great for burrowing in, has a nice look, and appears to hold the humidity well. The price is also great.

recently bought this to replace the terrible blue T-rex brand sand that came with a hermit crab starter kit I had purchased, and was completely satisfied, not only does it hold and absorb just enough moisture for my hermit crabs, but it also doesn't emmit a strong, nasty odour like my old sand did. Looks great in my crabitat setup and the crabs are much more active now.
