I have bought three of the 8x8" rainforest heat mats, and none of them even get slightly warm after being plugged in for hours. Good thing petsmart has a good return policy. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT

I'm not sure how hot this mat is supposed to get, but it seems to be warm. My gecko seems to enjoy it cause he lays on it all the time. I guess its better than having a completely cold floor for him to lay on.

Thease are poorly built and dont put out much heat at all. I wish I would have never bought this....
