"This lock works great with cages that have small holes for one. It is easy to set and reset the combination, in case someone finds out what it is when you prefer they not know it. The lock provides a little extra protecttion against escapes and helps keep visitors from opening the cage to take your pet out or disturb it when you (or your pet) aren't ready.

I have a corn snake in my classroom and this lock helps avoid distractions. The students know it's there so they don't bother going over to the cage to get him out before it's time.

This can also be helpful at home if you have animals that really should not be handled and have children of your own or as visitors. Sometimes they just can't resist, and you might not always be right there to make sure they aren't disturbing them."
