The liquid is yellow so I was a little concerned, but it did not turn my tank yellow. My tank is clear and my fish are happy and the measuring cup is in the cap, even better!

I have had my fish tank for over a year now and the whole time the water is clear and the tank is perfect. I went to Petmart to get my water tested and they said that the water was cleaner than there's in the store. Now i use in my baby tank and it works there too. Easy to use and works GREAT!!

Easy to measure, no guessing, and easy schedule. With water quality a must and no time to keep the quality why not just let Tetra's prouducts work for you. Very affordable and uses little time to apply it. The thing is with this product is that it eliminates harmful chemicals by having bacteria remove Nitrate and emit it as a gas out of your tank. Don't worry about water getting stale as their really isn't anything left for water to do other than evaporate, all water is H2O and a few other trace minerals which is provided by this product to promote health and growth. Please note that filtration should not be forgotten as this is the way to remove dissolved organics, suspended particles, and ammonia/nitrite in your aquarium. All I can say is that research on water samples that was 6 months old compared to water that was 1 week old really had no major difference. The only minor difference was 5ppm of nitrate compared to fresh water which was 0ppm. PPM is a measurement of parts/million or 0.000001

Easy Bal keeps the nitrate levels down but you still need to do a partial water change every month (at least) due to the sludge bildup in the gravel of your tank.
