Ever since i bought these, my 2 comets loved eating the flakes made from Tetra. I always trust Tetra products because they help my fish, I don't know why you guys hate on Tetra. Usually when i feed them the flakes, I turn off the filter, so none of the food gets sucked into it. It's called being smart, I don't really care if it sinks to the ground, my goldfish always swim down to eat the rest.

I'm not overly fond of this food. My goldfish eats it, but he also will eat the dried algea things I put in there for the snail. I guess he's not too picky. My neons don't seem too fond of this AT ALL though.

It has a tendancy to sink to the bottom of the tank and swirl around when the fish swim by, which is a little strange to watch. I think next time I'll have to go with a different brand.

Pros: doesn't cloud the tank

Cons: sinks real fast

I tried feeding these to my fish and more often than not they don't ever eat or finish even the smallest amounts. And i would hardly call it nutritional. My fish do not like them AT ALL. I would not recommend this to fish owners if you are looking to give your fish GOOD and NUTRITIONAL food. Sorry for bein all mean and stuff! ; )

Pros: floats for long amount of time? : s

Cons: unnapetizing, not very nutritional, sinks to bottom not very pretty, bleh!!

Although I do not recommend this food for fancy Goldfish due to the fact that they're more prone to Swim bladder problems. conversely, it works well for single tail goldfish like comets and commons. I feed this to my comet goldfish as a staple diet and they love it! I also vary their diet with frozen un-shelled peas, blanched romaine lettuce, frozen bloodworms, and blanched zucchini. this keeps them very happy and healthy!

Pros: my fish love it!, does not cloud water when fed properly, great staple flake but needs supplemental veggies

Cons: not good for egg shaped fancy goldfish

TetraFin Goldfish Flakes are very unhealthy (most ingredients are starch) and messy in the aquarium. My goldfish did not enjoy these flakes, and neither did I since I had to clean my tank because after a while in the tank these flakes start to become soft and messy. Go for something else like Omega One or Hikari.

The flakes would immediatly float to the bottom of the tank and it looked SOOOO UGLY and DUSTY and clumpy at the bottom of the tank! It was so gross and unsightly. My fish didn't even eat it! ^_^

My goldfish and koi love this stuff, when I put this in the water, there's no stopping them, they all come to the top and fight over it. They're swishing and swirling and the water is stirring because they love this stuff so much.

I bought some of the koi sticks and they don't care for it as much so I'm going back to TetraFin the next time I purchase food for them.

I have about 50 fish in my pond and ALL of them love TetraFin flakes.

I use these for my single goldfish and at first I never saw him eat them when I fed him, even though he must've ate them at some point because so far it's all he gets and he's still alive. Now however, he sometimes is right at the top of the bowl to eat when I feed him!
