This product seems very good. The only flaw is if you put it on a turtle and the turtle goes for a swim before it dries, you have to end up wiping it off the shell. I do it while the turtle is basking so it can dry up and soak into the shell right and not grease up the water. Other than that, very good.

I have used vita shell for about a month now on my russian tortoise, and he doesn't have anything wrong with him but i put it on him so nothing will happen. i use this product once a week but i soak him twice a week. he don't mind it. i just put it on there so nothing bad happens like shell rot, etc.

I have a two year old eastern painted turtle named squirt,his shell had started to peel and his colors had become very daul, i started using vitashell and within just a couple of days i saw a huge improvement, his shell is now much stronger and is shiny and a whole lot brighter, this product is wonderful, would definetly recomend this to a friend

I have three yellow-bellied sliders that are about six years old. I recently noticed that their the edges of their beautiful shells were cracking off. I feared the worst, SHELL ROT! Shell rot is a fatal diease. I figured out that it was NOT shell rot but their shells were weak, I always read reviews before I buy products. The reviews for Vita-Shell were awesome even though it is a new product, I bought Vita-Shell. It comes in a 2 ounce container and has the consistency of lotion. The container it comes in says "apply with cotton ball," don't do it, the hairs of the cotton ball stick to their shells and make a gross mess! Instead, apply with your own hands and it works great, their shells have never been stronger! Thanks Vita-Shell! (Apply a little to your own finger nails and they will be super strong too!)

Before I used this medication, my turtle's shell was a bit weak. After I applied this medication on for about a month, my turtle's shell grew stronger. This really works!

I purchased this product to use on both my turtle and torts. It worked amazing on the torts. Makes their shells nice and shiney for almost the full week! As for my turtle it worked on helping his shell with its peeling problems however it made the water feel somewhat slimey. However I still use it every so often on his shell, too. Overall I would definately recommend this product.

Ok.now i don't know if this is for land or aquatic turtles but , all i can say is that this is one amazing product..it really works.now u can use your finger or a q-tip to apply on your turtle.then keep applying it once every week.then it keeps your turtle healthy.shiny shell,and beautiful! :) p.s.this was squirt and cutie; Cami's pet turtles XD

This product really does make my turtles shells nice and moist and it sure does work. After just one use their shells and skins are much more colorful and healthy. The only thing is that it doesn't dry/soak into their skin very quickly so if they go play in the dirt right afterwards, they will be covered in dirt when they are done. But it did heal my turtles pealing skin!
